I received an email (below) from Dish Network titled "Important Account Information" on 5/24 and took advantage of it. Today the technician arrived and installed the free OTA tuner to my receiver and I was able to cancel the $12/month fee for local channels. Wanted to post as the title of the email wasn't intuitive and others may be able to benefit. I called the 800# below and they immediately confirmed I was eligible. Tech will come out install the USB OTA tuner and install an outdoor antenna if necessary for free.

Yep, channels look a lot better, less aliasing, most local stuff is on demand also.
I was still getting all the alphabet networks, they were all side by side when the OTA channels were added to the guide, went one by one. Likely targeted, but worth a call as the tech who came out said they've been doing these installs the last couple weeks. Maybe its a pilot and they're rolling it out slowly. Could save potentially $120 a year. I already have a Winegard antenna in the attic with coax by the TV, so it took about 10 minutes to install and scan the channels. In Phoenix area.

I'm curious about what outdoor antenna they would install and where they would install it. If it's one of those antennas that goes on the dish then that would be of little use to me since my dish is a ground install and only about 4 feet off the ground.
I have a 25 foot antenna tower but the antenna on it is shot. If they would install a decent antenna on it then it would be a great offer.
