For those that care - supports 75hz at full resolution.
You won't regret it. Have been using this monitor daily for almost a year now and still am impressed with it. Contrast and all around picture is phenomenal, colors are great, works great with gsync, and also can be set to 75hz which was a nice surprise to me as this isn't advertised anywhere in the specs
Well. For work related, I'd argue at 32" you are starting to stretch out those pixels a bit at 2560x1440, roughly 91 ppi. Similar to a 1080p at 24". Which isn't terrible, but you just don't get that crispness, like you would with a 2560x1440 at 27", or roughly 108 ppi. In my experience, you want to stay above 100 ppi, to get a nice sharp looking screen.

I went back and forth, think this is a newer monitor. I got mine through Costco because I like the convienence of returning in store just in case, and I earn cash back there.

Inb4 THIS IS A TERRIBLE GAMING MONITOR.

You will need a video card with a display port on it to take advantage of the high resolution....since the monitor only comes with a hdmi cable you will also need a display port to display port monitor cable ...

Ordered a 144hz VA panel. Should I go down to 75 -60hz?
Is this a trick question? This is also a VA panel, but with much less hertz, so the 144hz will refresh the display more than 2x faster. I'd stick with the 144hz.

Can your video card drive a 1440p monitor at 144hz? If yes or if you plan to upgrade, then stick with what you have. If not or if you don't plan to upgrade or if you never game seriously, then 144hz is overkill and this Dell would work nicely.

Got this monitor from urlhasbeenblocked about two weeks ago. I thought it'd be too big coming from a 24" monitor but it's perfect for switching back and forth between my PS4 and PC. It's sharp enough to play Tomb Raider but still displays text/icons on my PC at a reasonable size. And I like that I can do split screen with two browser windows at normal size without getting switched to a mobile style browser.

How does this compare to LG 32QK500-W that's on another thread for $220?
Is it worth extra money for the IPS panel, if I mostly going to stare at IDE (programming) and browser through this?

Currently have a dell U2913WM, would this be a good upgrade?
U2913WM is a 29" ultrawide monitor with 1080p resolution, this is a 32" wide monitor with 1440p resolution. you will lose ultrawide but gain more crispness with the 32" due to higher ppi.

nah, ips is for color accuracy, won't make a difference for browsing and coding.

VA/QHD aka LED I believe
Since when does LED mean VA or vice versa? You do know what AKA means right? Oh hey, its VA/QHD also known as LED, because that makes sense right?

That's actually not true, VA are typically worse for text.

The 29 inch ultra wide at 1080p would have slightly higher ppi than a 32 inch 16:9 1440p.

I googled it for you:

"VA stands for vertical alignment and is a a type of LED (a form of LCD) panel display technology. VA panels are characterized as having the best contrast and image depth among the other main types of display panels, TN (twisted nematic)and IPS (in-plane switching), but also the longest response times."
