Pepboys Champion AGM Battery 25% off and $40 rebate @ Pep boys AR Rebate Ends 12/29/19

This deal has been extended through 12/29/2019 for the rebate at least but not sure about the 25% off will continue but historically this seems like an ongoing sale with little change (Blackfriday deals).

Pep boys has Bosh and Champion AGM batteries @ 25% discount plus $40 Rebate (dont forget cashback) and these have 48 month replacement which is really good and the AGM batteries are very good. My cars make and model was not available at Costco else I'd compare with theirs.

I confirm that the 25% off works as well. I purchased for 25% off online with the option to pay-in-store after getting the free installation. The web-only discount showed up without issue at the store and the register receipt prints out fine.

This sale goes on every month, so it is NOT a sale, when it is normal price 365 days a year.

I generally find that Pep Boys (just like Advance Auto) is way overpriced on most parts, and the discounts just get their prices back to suggested retail.

Another thing that aggravates me is their web site requires you to input vehicle information to see batteries, but if I want to look at other size batteries (Jeep XJ can take several different sizes) it will only let you see sizes for your input vehicle. You can not just "browse" around the site, especially for items like batteries, alternators, etc.

I don't disagree as its all a big pricing game but in this case after the Discount, Rebate and Cashback the Battery that I need is cheapest amongst any other similar battery vendor and type so its still a good deal in THIS situation and hence the post.

Personally the Costco batteries were great and now they are good as they had a very laxed policy and hence the change but the Interstate batteries are good but I believe they are only 36 month whereas this is 48 month warranty (non-pro rates).

Is this 25% discount and plus $40 rebate? $129 battery will come for $57 something?

I have done the rebate before. It takes 8 weeks to process & receive. I have read online reviews about having to spending quickly because they apparently deduct $3 a month from the card as monthly fee if not spent.

The batteries carried 100 month warranty with 42 month replacement and then prorated after that, now it's 36 month replacement only.

Bought the Bosch AGM . Had no problem with the discount being applied. Sent the paperwork in for the $40 rebate and was informed by the rebate center that they would not honor it due to the fact that I had received the % off already and I could not combine both together. I spoke to 4 different individuals all the way up to supervisor and got nowhere. Just a heads up.
