These are awesome. I've had a set for about 6 years and use them weekly. They are a steal at this price if you can find them.

First, why do you feel that the 1090s are awful?

Second, PB's look like it takes longer to change the weights. Having to pull the pin and reset it vs these just rotate the dial. I do a lot of the Beachbody workouts and need something that I can change extremely fast. I have these 552's and LOVE them. I'm now to the point that I need more weight and have been watching for a 1090's deal. Can you give more details as to why you like the PB's better? TIA
I had the 552s and later the 1090s. I definitely wasn't rough with them, but it didn't take much to crack one of the dividers. After that, plates would fall out. I switched to Powerblocks and have had no issues over several years. The time to change weights is very similar if you are going in 10 pound increments. Otherwise, 5 pound changes are a little tedious.
