P.S. Worth noting in the title that this is an Samsung entry level but really good for the price. Thanks OP.

this one is $50 more but the next series up (series 7) vs the NU6900 series being the 6 series. would $50 be worth it for the next latest gen? i think the 8 series is the newest.

Still the same price (without nest mini) and the next version is still about $50 more. I don't really see anything that stands out on reasons to buy the new version. Wish I had a crystal ball to see if any 50" tv's are going to pop up in the next week or two for less than $300.

Tried this exact model about year ago. Returned it in few days.. PQ was ehhhh...but I have a 50" panny plasma which blew this Samsung out of the water in every way..cept 4k of course...If your thinking of getting it as a main TV you will be very disappointed...if you never owned a Hi Def TV before you probably will like it.
