Klipsch being an American company, they tend to pair better with Yoplait more than Dannon.
Reference Premier is an entirely different beast than just reference. If you're serious about audio go for RP over R any day.
While good for entry level systems, the reference series is okay at best.
Even something like the rp600m would sound better than most reference floorstanding speakers.
Well it depends what you consider a "deal".

If you're main concern is how your money is distributed once you buy then yes take this into consideration.

If your main concern is what you pay for something and is it a good price to you, this is very irrelevant.

If there is a better price for this please let everyone know, pretty sure many people would love to know the better "deal"!

How do these compare to the Infinity R-253's that were on sale recently?
same question here.Based on what I read they are of similar quality but did not see any direct comparison. But other knowledgeable folks can chime in.

Let me ask again. What's the difference between this and the newer model R-625FA
There's a response from Klipsch in the Amazon Q&A for this model that states the two model are similar, but the new model has upgraded drivers and crossover networks to make the sound "smoother"...or something to that effect.

The lack of quality, in depth user reviews on these leaves me...concerned.

Full disclosure i have little to no idea what most of this means but it seems like the R-26's are better overall compared to the Infinity's.

Someone please feel free to add to this....

Yeah, but sound is subjective...you're an audio snob...the difference for a new person probably would never notice it. It's like giving a Your mom a 500hp car vs 700hp car...they'll never push it to get near those hp.
Well that doesn't make him an audio snob, like you said sound is subjective and people have different preferences.
Look at you, you are happy with tv speakers, some would say you would be the town idiot 😳 but it's just your preference.
Hopefully you bought a very inexpensive tv to save even more money.

Is it true the cabinet materials housing the actual components inside play an important role in the resulting sound quality as well?

Unfortunately none of that will tell anything about how they would sound to you let alone how they compare.
You would have to listen for yourself especially since they have two different sounds.

But both are discontinued - doubtful you could hear them in the stores now. You'd have to buy both and return what you didnt want.

Man those Klipsch's are 52 lbs each. Thats mental to me.

Correct, poorly made cabinets will hamper sound quality compared to high quality construction

I have a pair of Klipsch RP-8000F with RP-504C Center Channel, would these pair well for taking it to a surround sound system or should I look into getting another set of RP-8000F's to match?

I would pass on these given your investment into the Premier lineup. You can try rp600ms for surrounds, 8000fs would probably be a bit much depending on your style

LOL Are you crazy?

The poster asked the difference between these speakers and the RP-280, which means he knows more than an average joe just looking for an audio system.

Now if my mom asked me the difference between the 700hp car vs a 500hp, that means she is interested enough and know enough to know there is a difference between the two.

Instead of going around calling people snobs, how about you be a productive member and help others.

100% agree.

If you are starting out with a whole new system, do it right and go with the RP line or higher. You don't want to build a system and have to upgrade again in a year because you heard the RP line and they do sound much better than the Reference line.
Thank you. Saved me $500.
