But if you are going with Dronemobile and paying the monthly service fee, then you would want a unit with active alarm system integrated on to it to get your moneys worth. So you get alerted on your phone if your alarm goes off. Except this one is just remote start with keyless entry.
A few disadvantages of going with Best Buy:
1) They always oversell the units and the installs are usually around 3 months behind for cold states
2) If something doesn't work right and you want service, you will have to wait a few months to get service due to overflow of customers
3) It's not a professional hard-wire installation. They use a plug and play harness that is provided for installation. If they don't have that PnP harness available for your car, they cannot install on to your vehicle.
4) Plug and play installation = you don't need much skills to install it. Except you want someone who is a 12volt guru installing on to your vehicle, not some young kid making $12/hour @ best buy.
All in all, I would recommend going with a professional shop to get the better "after-service," should anything fail in the future. You may pay a little more, but it's not worth getting the long wait and the frustration.

This one looks like it includes the LTE module.. I just got the $249 one installed on Saturday and kinda wish I had this one instead.
The other thread of 12/28 does not come with drone module. The one you were talking about is originally priced at 449.99 and this one for 599.99. I still think this is a good deal.

"Comes with a free 30-day trial. After the trial, plans require additional fee with no contract or annual commitment. Pause or cancel service at any time. There are no reactivation charges.
The DroneMobile service is only required for cellular connectivity and is not required in order to use the Compustar remote/key fob."
Anyone know how much it costs to keep going with the DroneMobile?
*Edit: NVM, found the info on DroneMobile cost/month - https://dronemobile.com/subscriptions

Dronemobile is not a free service. For Basic $5.99 it does lock/unlock/start and the premium feature has GPS tracking, POI's and more. For a device that has a 3000' range (1/2 mile-ish) starting distance it's hard to justify paying a monthly service fee for it.

Care to elaborate, why?
