I have bought many coffee makers over the years. This one is BY FAR the best one i have ever used.

Everything is perfect about this; how hot the coffee is made (most important to me), the removable water filler, ease of cleaning, the insulated coffee pot, speed of making coffee, etc.

An only small complaint is the coffee basket, which I prefer cone (just my personal preference).

Can't go wrong with this thing.

This looks to be very similar to the older EC-YSC100 which I purchased and mostly love back on 7/1/2017 for $63.42. This OP has perhaps a few improvements.

Old one: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00X9K1EDK/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 [amazon.com]

They look nearly identical but this one is missing the CLEAN button and adds a TIME SAVER cycle which they say brews faster. There is also a Pre-Infusion Cycle listed for this one that wets the grounds for a bloom prior to the brew, I'm not sure the old one does that. The only other thing I can see is that there is an Iced gauge on the water tank which I'm guessing I could do on the older one just eyeballing the water level.

In any case, a pretty good deal. If the carafe is removed from the unit the valve on top will close keeping coffee very drinkable all day long and there is no heating element to burn the coffee over time.

Edit: Looks like this one also comes with a permanent filter. Don't think mine did.

I have the ysc100, purchased for around $70 a few years back. the carafe is amazing, there have been times where for whatever reason it was left half full all day and 13 hours later it's still at a drinkable temp. however, it is hard to clean and has developed a small leak at times. my local bb&b is going out of business and I picked up the breville precision at 50% off, mostly for the 12 cup capacity. while it has some quirks of its own, using the same water and cheap coffee it is absolutely a better brewer. it's quicker, quieter and brews better tasting coffee. at $105 this is probably the best bang for your buck and will be an upgrade from what most people are using, but there are better options out there.

I also went from this to the Breville Precision due to BBB closing. Are you having any issue with pourovers not being hot enough? Breville will send you the pourover kit for free btw, I use it with a V60 but the end result is not super hot.

What'd you pay for the Breville Precision?

Also - I too own this Zojirushi and it's been great so far.

How does this compare to a cheaper Ninja 12-Cup Programmable Brewer CE251 but with a glass carafe? Thanks.

This post reminds me of one minor complaint I have. The Zoji is rather loud while brewing. Not like a grind and brew or anything but it's something with the near boiling water shooting up from the tank and into the coffee basket or something. Not a huge deal to me but I know others have complained. I prefer it to BEEP BEEP BEEP alarm. Smilie

Any thoughts between this and Technivorm? Is this Euro cup or American cup?

I can't find it now but there was a promo link for a free adapter with Precision purchase. I emailed them about it since it seemed the deal was over but the link was live, and they sent one.
