Just got one from last fp deal. Nice little laptop. Lightweight and fairly fast for ryzen 3 and 4gb ram. No bloatware at all have 90 gb free on hard drive after windows. This is the link for memory from last fp deal.

If that's the case, we are pretty much stucked with the ryzen 3 models if you want to get new one,.

It depends what you want to do with it. This is far more versatile. There is only so much you can do with a Chromebook (basically browsing the internet). Windows is so much more versatile. I would suggest this to be honest, and maybe throwing in another stick of ram for 8gb.

So far the only game I've played on this thing was Rocket League and it ran fine. If you plan on buying this for eSports games or light games that don't need a lot of power you'll be fine.
I use this mostly for web browsing anyways. Put 8GB of RAM in it and it's fine.

Saying that Chromebooks are only good for web browsing just shows that you have never used a Chromebook in years. That's like saying your phone can only browse the web and make calls. If you are on the fence about a Chromebook and a very weak windows laptop I would take a hard look at the Chromebook
