I bought this same mower for my parents. It's a champ! Used sporadically and the carb never got gunked up until at least five years in.

Since it's wintertime, they will likely not be stocking lawnmowers in store for like half the country.

Best bet would be a local shop - I've had good luck getting an older model from a local farm/fleet type store that was on sale.

Got lucky yesterday after seeing this post and headed to local HD right after work. Had to walk around the store, found the last one in the center aisle of the paint department with a couple other random lawn equipment pieces.. I disagree that they don't stock them cuz it's winter. Employee told me that's EXACTLY when you should shop for new mower/lawn equipment. Store will be trying to get rid of old stock before new stuff comes in. Wait 'til April, May, you may be too late!

All you have to do is clip the fuel line and put in an in-line fuel switch. Then you'll never have gummed up carbs again. I can't believe mower mfgs don't do this from factory though. It's such a dumb move, it can't be anything less than intentional.

Great mower! Got this during a deal for $350 in May 2018 and have been very pleased with it, haven't had a problem yet.

Wrong. Carburetor gets gummed up due to ethanol in the gas. Make sure you drain fuel completely, run the mower till all the gas has been exhausted, then store it for use till next season.

I have this mower and it runs great. Worth every penny if you can find it at 299.99.

Should always buy 100% Gasoline for lawn equipment.

Too expensive. Just add Stabil and use premium gas above 91 Octane.

That's great if you have somewhere locally that sells it for a reasonable price. The nearest ethanol-free gas station near me is more than an hour away.

Does anyone know if this just came down in price again? My Home Depot has had this model, and the model up from this one and the prices have been slightly marked down for a while. Debating if I should pass by tonight and buy one if the price has dropped further.
