Listen, for a fashion type watch this is a very good price. I have a Fossil I wear on occasion and the biggest thing I consider is that it if I mar the bezel or crystal the watch is done for. It simply costs too much to repair one of these watches in this price point if something happens.
It's always a measure of pros and cons. $35 bucks for a watch that is too cheap to repair vs. $150 bucks for a watch that is worth repairing. How many $35 watches will a person go through before it's worth it to buy the $150 watch. It is different for everyone.
For me, I bought the Fossil that I liked that didn't have any other brand offering the same look and feel. It suits me and I hope I have it for many years. But, honestly, if I scratched the crystal I'd have to appreciate the watch for what it was and donate it or throw it away. A $150 seiko or orient, on the other hand, depending on the rarity and how much I'm attached to it, may have to go for repairs. Just some thoughts on someone who owns several watches sub $500.
