I've been researching web hosting services the past few weeks and so Google has now taken it upon itself to insert a couple of finds into my newsfeed every day. I came across this deal and thought perhaps I would share with my fellow slickdealers.
I have never heard of Boxne and from the few reviews I saw it seems they're perhaps not a very big player in the market. I don't have any e-commerce websites and I think their service would probably suffice for my simple 3 page personal websites....but would be happy to hear what others who know them better have to say about quality.

At $39.99 for a 7-10 year (the fine print states that "lifetime" refers to the life of the server, which is typically 7-10 years from purchase...) it sounds like a fairly low risk deal. If you have established sites that bring in tons of revenue then this may not be so low risk.

Here's the details:

I wonder if the EOL the servers in 2 years, then what you are on a 2 year plan for 40$ ? I guess still ok... but that very interesting that life time is referring to the backend equipment and not account...

Exactly how much "unlimited" disk space? Can I put there 20TB of UHD movies for streaming?

That's my question. Looking to back up 4TB of personal photos & video but not sure this is the solution. Good find though.

Again - I'm no expert and I could not find anything on their site about this in particular...but...usually unlimited hosting refers to hosting files needed to run your website(s). Even having multiple backups of your sites saved on the servers usually violates the TOS for most hosting providers - so this is likely the same here where you are given unlimited space to run your site. I'm not saying you couldn't back-up personal photos somehow and make the case for this being part of your website...but you may run into obstacles.
