Bought it last weekend, turned out to be a bad TV on the functioning side.
Cons:
Turns on automatically after it being left turned off (especially at night).
YouTube app doesn't work even when connected through Ethernet (shows a black screen when accessing the app and its unresponsive)
WiFi tends to cut on and off (tested with built-in streaming apps, however the issue stops when using an Ethernet connection)
When words or colors are illuminated it leaves sort of a noticeable white glow around it (first time owning a VA panel so not sure if this is normal or just my unit)
Pros:
This TV has a good VA panel. The colors pop (with literally little to no calibration) and the colors are accurate. The blacks are nice and family thinks it looks fantastic when watching at night. Verified 60hz 4K and tested this using PS4 Pro and an Nvidia Shield.
We decided to return it, it's not functioning across the board and we went with a Samsung instead. I can see why it would be on sale. Then again it could just be my unit, however I did see articles on Vizio's website pertaining to the TV turning on automatically when left unused and certain built-in apps like YouTube not working so they appear to be common issues.
Did you by chance see if this behavior was occurring with the TV not connected to the network? I am curious if the TV was performing some update in the background which was causing it to reboot, or if there was some Wake-on-LAN (WOL) packets being sent by another device on your network.
Bought this during BF sale for 599 but then had to return it due to light bleed at the bottom right corner. While I had the TV it was great for 4K content but upscaling was poor when using Vizio native Smartcast. If you are going to use an Apple TV or Firestick it should be fine but it could be annoying as you have to switch inputs after turning on the TV. Great TV for the new price and can even get 3 additional years of warranty for $35 at Costco.

Not just TVs, everything will go lower because we're about to enter the dark part of a global recession and consumer spending is going to fall off a cliff
We've been hearing global recession for a long time and people are somewhat numb to it, but the chain of events caused by china virus is going to be a financial tsunami. The people getting sick part is practically trivial by comparison - that we'll get over.
Went into Costco yesterday planning to purchase the M8. But for some reason the TCL613 next to it just looked more clear. The sales associate tried to play with the settings but just couldn't get it as clear as the TCL.
Ended up purchasing the TCL and watched it last night. Seemed to be fine but now I'm wondering if it was just a signal issue with the M8 in the store.
As everybody said, on paper the M8 should be better. Plus this is going into the basement for movies so it works better for my needs to. Considering going and buying the M8 and trying it for a while

I bought this TV from Costco about 3 weeks ago for $699 with a 4 year warranty using the Costco Visa. I just got $200 price adjustment with this new price.
As a TV, it has an amazing picture. HDR is excellent and just enough brightness in that mode to look good. Very happy with my purchase.
As a smart TV, it has some issues. It does stop streaming and loses wifi at times and the interface is prone to freezing up.
That said, I already had a 4K ROKU, and use that most of the time. The ROKU interface is far superior anyway.
Im always amazed anyone would want to use the apps in a smart TV. The interface is always crappy and not nearly a good experience as a roku/apple TV etc.
Really torn between this and the TCL 613 at Costco. Going to use this in the basement for movies but also Kids will use it a lot to stream Netflix and Amazon prime and we already have three TCLs in the house they are familiar with. First world problems...
My TCL 55" that I have had for like 4 years is stuck on a constant reboot. Nothing I do can fix it. I have been waiting to get a 65" to replace it for awhile now. This would go in my master bedroom and in my loft and living room I have 65" OLED LG's. So if I can get close to the quality of those LG's it would be nice.
Questions
- How good/dependable are Vizio's? I have never owned one or know anyone who has.
- Would the difference between the PX65-G1 & M658-G1 be noticeable? I don't mind paying $1k if its gonna look awesome and last me.
I bought this TV 75' and I really liked it.. picture quality is amazing.. for this price you can't go wrong. Of course, some units might have issues and you will have 90 days to return if you notice them.

OP, would also mention Costco extended warranty via Costco CC
