I don't understand why they include 2 keypads. I mean you can arm and disarm with Alexa. I'd rather have another sensor of some type.

For those us with multiple entrances. Upstairs, walkout basement, garage. Trust me, the last thing you think of sometimes when opening a door early in the morning to let the dog out is deactivating the alarm. Nice to not have to sprint to a single keypad or phone.

Keypads work both for arming/disarming and open/close sensor chirps and alarm sounding (audible alarms). It should also be noted that you can arm the system with Alexa verbally, but to disarm you do need to speak a code out loud. Since it's not really a voice encryption/recognition anyone who overheard you say the code could potentially disarm the system using their voice too. You can toggle whether you want the arm/disarm via Alexa independently though. Wanted to provide the info for those interested!

i recently installed and switched over to Ring alarm/monitoring. I've setup some functionality using Alex and IFTTT so i can say "Alexa, secure home" and it arms the Blink camera systems, puts my Ecobee to Away mode and sets up Alexa Guard to arm the ring security system. With Alexa guard, the echo dot can be useful in hearing for glass breaks and trigger alarm. Cool stuff.
