Verizon just released the preorder for their new Samsung S20 UW which is the base version but with the faster 5G access. As part of the promotion, they're doing BOGO free or $1000 off. You must add a new line. Additionally, you get another $150 off the phone you buy. Additionally, there's a $150 verizon gift card if you bring a phone number from outside of verizon to them. Also, 5G access is free (normally $10/month). Also, you get a free echo dot and amazon smart plug.
This plan requires being on one of the new verizon unlimited plans, which are individual to each phone so you can mix and match.
Alternatively, if you don't want to have to create a new phone number, they have a good trade-in deal under the same offer. You get $350 for trade-ins, which includes old phones like the iphone 6 even, and you also get $150 off. So if you want to upgrade your line, without a new phone number, you can basically get $500 off with an old phone trade in.

Costco has a very similar deal, but gives a $150 costco gift card, and also has cheaper starting price for the S20 UW of $950 ($1000 at Verizon).

This new model phone is verizon specific and supports their ultra-fast 5G milliwave technology, which required a redesign of the phone.

Yeah, I like high tech, but this isn't just jumping the shark. This is jumping the whale. And they probably wonder why they can't sell many of these.

Wait for a better deal. Newly released galaxy phones always drop in price shortly after released I've noticed. Within a few months or so.
And perhaps could be better deals sooner considering current economic conditions...

What?!
If you do BOGO, well final price per phone is like $425 and you sell your old phones as well.
