Yeah, I keep waiting for it to get $90 or less, may have to try if it doesn't before x-mas.

Its like laser beams shooting right into my eyeballs... no thanks... how do you prevent any mishap where the already too bright "display" becomes super bright with some glitch and blinds you for a day or worse?

Reminds me of like Sword Art Online or something that they can use to, well, you know.....
To be fair, this tech is based on many tiny mirrors reflecting light, so may be different than lasers. It's not for everyone, but they work for me.

Seems a tough sell even at 99 compared to an oculus go.

"Laser" thing was a joke, obviously this thing is nowhere near the tech of laser... but just the idea of any focused beam that you have no control over once it is on, ya... I kinda value my eyes... just not worth the risk...

Can just see a viral article now.......

"Man loses an eye while watching porn on a Glyph"
Wait... hasn't that happened already without this??Maybe not an eye...

That happens whenever you open your eyes. It's happening as you read this post. If this wasn't focused, it would be just a blurry mess. You have the same control you always do. Close your eyes.

People seem to be discounting the headphones. By all reports, they are quality headphones. Worth $100 by themselves.

I can't imagine these things staying in the right position. They just look like regular headphones that they stuck some displays on.

They come with 4 different nose clips and an optional head band that help with that.

The Glyph is for a completely different use-case. Its field of view is only 45 degrees (iirc) so it's not intended to be used for VR. Besides which, the micromirrors are at only 720p per eye (I think). What it is good for is to show you videos, without disturbing those next to you. For example, you could have your own private movie marathon or TV series "binge" session on a cross-country flight. I've also read that it's been used to display the camera output of drones (but you may need to have someone else actually operate the drone, to comply with the law).
