I have exact same model.

Wifey is extremely happy. We do mostly Indian cooking... Making rice batter for dosa. Chutney for samosa.. We generally make batter of rice, lentils, grains..

It's little pricey to me.. But it's really worth it.
I have a blendtech but I've been watching this one for a while, only because I want a powerful blender with a glass jar. I've been phasing out everything plastic in my house. For cold beverages as long as it's not too acidic it might not be too bad but I am not comfortable blending hot soup in plastic.
I have not used this ace, I have however used a ninja professional ultimate, a blend tec, a vitamix and a plethora of cheap blenders. We drink a lot of smoothies and used to make baby food. The ninja is a good blender for the price point, I'm sure these ace blenders are good for the price point. However the blendtec sand vitamix are in a class of their own. Now are they 150-400.00 more better for most probably not. Our ninja just died, and we want a vitamix 3500 but I'm not paying 500.00 for it so I'm the mean time I bought this and I'm sure it will be fine.

To answer your core question. Support, warranty, accessories. Vitamix has had the same cup design for 20 years! They just recently changed it and They have made adapters to use the old stuff on the new units. My ninja self serve cup won't work in the new ones and our ninja is only 5 years old. The vitamix is a buy it for life product

What is the difference between this and regular Ace and is it worth the price? If somebody has used it and can comment on it.

our ninja ultimate just died after 6 years was looking at the Ascent 3500 from vita mix, but the wife wanted a cooking blender. 600.00 is hard to justify, but this one for 89.00 sure. Ill give it a whirl!

Understood...

But if this is 90% of what a vitamix is, then the price may be worth it as a backup.
