Just a heads up: These come set to 512 byte emulation, not advanced 4kn sector.

For 99.9% of all use cases, you probably won't notice a difference, but if you're doing a fresh installation as an OS drive on Windows 10, I'd recommend taking the extra time to set these to 4kn. Sabrent provides a tool to do this.
These are the advertised speeds:

Wd 1tb Black 3430MB/s read:3000MB/s write.
Sabrent gen 3 is 3450MB/s read:3000MB/s write.

The Gen 4 Sabrent is 5000MB/s read:and 4400MB/s write, but you need PCIe gen 4 to take advantage of that speed.
How are these vs the black edition wd

I really want the PCIe Gen 4 x 4 one, but I keep telling myself to wait.

Lowest price C3 has seen it was only 51 cents lower than this, so it's pretty good as far as deals go!

He probably bought it last year when it was at its lowest. Seems like market price for nand keeps coming down so hopefully it comes back again

Oof, no, I meant PCIe Gen 4.0 (the spec) x4 (the width), rather than the Gen3

Plus most say that in actual use pcie 4 is not nearly that much faster. If it was, i'd be tempted, but also many say only trust samsung or intel for reliability and then ye another issue is I think all pcie 4 ones come with heatsinks and my mobo already has heatsinks and so I'd be unsure what to even do, especially since this is myt first time building.

Nice deal with the b550 mobos coming out tomorrow. 1tb is faster than 500gb, but lots of folks likely won't notice much.
