Most things on tv arent even 1080p. You guys complain so much about little shit. This is a great tv. You think my 67 year old dad is gonna care how good the blacks are. You think my sister who doesnt give a shit about technology is gonna care about the viewing angles. Let's be realistic. Only the spec nerds care about the little differences.
They have the 65in model for $779.99 currently

If you pay with Costco credit card, does that extend the warranty to 5 years?
Yes, it will extend it to 5 years if you use your Costco Citi Visa card. I even added the Square Trade warranty on this TV for $65 that will make it a total of 7 years.

Below is the breakdown on how the warranty would work:

90 days - Costco
1-3 years - Samsung
4-5 years - Costco
6-7 years - Square Trade

Which model are you talking about? is it this one?

https://www.bestbuy.com/site/tcl-...Id=6319339

If so, the TCL definitely beats it for brightness in HDR, deeper blacks because of dimming zones. But the Samsung will beat it in gaming because of better response time.

Better picture = TCL R617
Faster response times for gaming = Samsung RU8000

This or the 75" LG for $879 that was on sale a few weeks as go??

Edit; why downvote this? It's an honest question?
I bought that 75" LG from Costco back in January and returned it in April a few days before the 90 day exchange was up. If I had the room lights dim or off the back light bleed was terrible and in dark scenes it was impossible not to notice. The LG app library sucks too.. can't remember for sure but I don't think it even had HBO or Showtime available.

Actually the breakdown is "if you purchase a television using a Costco Anywhere Visa® Card for the transaction and also purchase a SquareTrade television extended warranty, the total warranty coverage is 7 years (the first 2 years through Costco Concierge, the following 3 covered by SquareTrade, and the final 2 years covered through Citibank)."

Wrong!! I have a Vizio M-Series. Terrible dirty screen effect and blooming. Even brought home an Open Box 75" Sony 900H before returning it for a scratch on the screen. My 65" RU8000 has less blooming and better blacks. The 900H has a brighter picture, but in my opinion is not worth the extra $$. I have a friend with a Q60 and it certainly is not as good as the RU8000. Reviews are fantastic everywhere you look for RU 8000. Highly underrated set! Like it so much, I am now the owner of a 65" and 75"
You're on crack. The RU8000 does not have better blacks than the Sony X900H. And the Samsung Q60 is clearly better than the RU8000.

Drugs are bad, mmkay?

First, it's important to mention which Q60. The R or T. To answer your question, no. I have a Samsung KS8000, Vizio M and Vizio P. I'm in the process of considering my next TV. If I could, I would get a Samsung Q90R, but they are hard to find new. I might end up waiting as I'm not impressed with what's available at the moment. I'm intrigued with the upcoming Vizio though.

So, when you say Q60 is way better than this RU8000, in what aspect? Is it worth to spend at least $300 more in buying Q60 than this RU8000?

Anyway, most Samsung aficionados want Q90 but it's still too pricey.
