So 36 x 0.55 oz makes about a pound and a quarter. This "deal" is just above and below four bucks a pound. For comparison, I bought the 25 pound box last September for $1.09 per pound.

I thought the kids would like some cheap candy, but NOPE. I tried to give it away for halloween, but not many were interested. I have not eaten candy for years, so I don't know exactly what it is, but it seems like some kind of hard taffy. Maybe a chewy version of Jolly Ranchers.\

Well, OP, thanks for trying, but I think this is a bad deal.

Airheads are soft, not hard. Sounds like you bought a stale box which might explain the price you paid and why nobody liked them.
