How dare they try to make a one-time $30 in exchange for giving you a FREE line, Mr. Entitled.

This weekend, T-Mobile is giving away a FREE VOICE LINE! Any T-Mobile plan is eligible (even Simple Choice). New customers need to have two paid lines to get the free line. Current customers with at least two paid lines can just add a free line.

***This is an EXTREMELY RARE No-Stipulation Line (like the free lines offered back in 2016 & 2017...)

If you're new to T-Mobile and you'd like to stack this to get the 4 lines for $120 on the Magenta plan, which comes with a free Netflix account, you'll need to go to T-Mobile today/tonight (Thursday, June 25th) to start/port a 3-line account on the Magenta plan. T-Mobile is currently running a 3rd line free. All 3 lines will be $120, which includes tax.

THEN....

Starting tomorrow, Friday, June 26th, you can add a 4th line to your plan for FREE! This will give you 4 lines on the T-Mobile Magenta plan, which comes with all taxes/fees, unlimited data and a free Netflix account, for $120. IF YOU ARE GOING TO DO THIS... GO TO T-MOBILE NOW TO START THE 3-LINE DEAL FIRST.... DO NOT SIGN UP FOR FOUR LINES THINKING THE 4TH LINE WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE FREE TOMORROW... IT WON'T. 3 lines TODAY, 1 line TOMORROW!

As always, start-up fees may or may not be charged, and can come to $10 per SIM and $20 per activation per line. Ask to see if any of these may be waived.

Details about the 4th line free will be on the website tomorrow (Friday, June 26th), but don't wait to start the first 3 lines today/tonight!

It is obviously a mess caused by T-mobile inability to make promotions more clear cut (even among their own staff), but yea I agree that some people are also to be blamed. There are many instances where people clearly know they are NOT qualified and still want to force their way through by calling multiple CSR. I get it, been in situations like that but if the language clearly states your plan is not qualified I think you are being the unreasonable customer.
Agreed, And for most other promotions, convincing/tricking/etc. a rep to give it to you often works. But since the reps have nothing to do with the promo, which is a backend automated thing, and are just adding a new line like normal, people are just wasting their own time. And while some people (like myself) were legitimately screwed, as we were told right when this came out that we were eligible, only to find out later we weren't, they will likely offer some form of compensation (and did in my case). But before they did that, they also saw my call/chat history and realized it was their screw up. If someone who brute forces their way to a 'yes' calls in later to complain, they will likely just say "Sorry, but we told you the previous five times that you weren't eligible, so this is really on you" and rightfully so.

Yes, I checked with two different online reps, and they said I am qualified for the promo. I paid for my new SIM and that's it. A third online rep told me that the new line will show in my account by tomorrow.
any update from you ? without changing 14-year old plan ?
I used Facebook messenger to chat with -t-mobile, I was told "your plan is already such a great value, it is not eligible to receive a free line discount. We are unable to add any lines of service to this plan. ".
I need to change plan to get free line

I signed up for iPhone SE yesterday...thinking of cancelling and doing iPhone 11... Rep says if we cancel I can redo whole thing again .. any experience ? Just don't want to mess up
I got the same reply...!
I just wanted to port-in my friend's number on top of the recently added free line (with 50% off SE iphone) and conver that promo into "iPhone-11 on us with trade in" promo ! I am planning to buy a cheap iPhone 6S.
But she says better to keep it as is rather than make any changes or it might be treated as a "line cancellation" and the whole thing (especially free line) will fall apart (including new promos in next 90 days) !
I guess I'll keep iPhone SE after all ! $200 off is still not bad right??
Online articles say value-wise SE is more worthwhile so I am still debating if it's worth going through all these hassles...LOL
I'll rather add the port-in a a new line where this iPhone-11 promo can be still applied but the line won't be free. At least I got a free line now and more importantly got upgraded to "One 9+" plan (so I can add more lines with all these promos) which I have been fighting for last a few months...lol

Same here. I'm just going to wait it out and see what happens. I have everything in writing so i'm not super concerned at this point.
Same situation here, port-in request completed, order shipped, the extra line pops up in my account, but monthly total increased. Chatting with 611 now.

How did it go with the porting in process? I may have a family friend join my plan later as well. Was it easy or did they want all kinds of verification like your friend calling in to confirm he agrees or bring an ID to a store?

And if you get any kind of discount/promo for devices does have to sit on the new line? Or were you talking about switching promo from one line to another?

Thanks for your reply, I'm looking for 2 devices and not into iPhones and want to avoid 1+.

I think there is something with TMO that you can buy that plan for phone and they will upgrade for may be $100 or something, not exactly sure what it is.

I have done port-in in the past and never had issues as long as we have the account# and PIN from that provider (e.g. AT&T)! Of course it's not as quick as activating a new number but does happen in a few days (mainly depends upon how fast the old provider is releasing the number).
For the device promo, yes, they are usually attached to the line and if that line is cancelled then it falls apart so I always ask my friend if they are planning to keep the line active at least for 24 months before adding them. I don't want "temp line for a few months" kinda family members...lol

Any way to take advantage of this if I signed up a while back with the 3rd line free + 20% friends and family code?

I've been saying this for days.

Even worse for the people who "wait 1-2 billing cycles" for the promo like some were told.
Yet, this is how its always worked, old system and new. I've been telling folks to start worrying on the third cycle...if the credits haven't shown up yet, THEN get on to TForce and begin asking for credits. They will always reassure you they're coming, but that they'll 'look into that for you', and give you a manual credit on account. Did that for 5 months running, until it was finally escalated to Executive care, who recoded my SOC and finally fixed everything. I simply held them to their 'promise' every month via manual credits until they fixed the problem. I'd say that took 6 months, and dozens of unpaid hours on Twitter. Then again, I'm down to about $11/line for UL HD data/Talk/Text, and I'm not able to get that anywhere else, so I have to say the struggle was worth it. Would have preferred TMO get their backend in shape, though.

Normal. Lump sum credit and regular credits begin 1-2 billing cycles in.

Read/follow wiki to grab your plan code, compare to pdf of SOC's, if good, go online to your account ASAP and order.

I'm on a TMO One Plan: FRLTUL4LP

I finally see the free line added to the account today but it doesn't have the "One Plus Promo" as a free option which all my other 5 lines have (one of which is also a free line from a 2017 promotion). I let gives me the option to pay $15 a month for One Plus.

Is this what others are seeing too?
Quote from kamakazii :
Look at details on the primary line. It should be there and covers the whole family account.
ONE Plus Promo is *per line* - you'll share unlimited talk, text, and whatever data option is part of your base plan but new lines going forward once OPP was grandfathered won't have it. In other words, any new lines won't have it.

Thank you for this post! I got the free line on Friday, then later during the day spoke to another agent online and they had a deal for the IPHONE 11 for $700 trade in with a new line activation for existing customers, which the first agent didnt say they had. So i ordered an iphone 11 for a trade in with iphone x, which is nice... =)

Anyone know the nuanced difference between FRLTULFM2 and FRLTUL4LP? Essentially both started out as 2/$120 then $20/line so what am I missing? Thank you

Exact story told by 611 just now, I will just sit back and relax. I got the t-mo one military so I don't want them to mess with.
