There is no hierarchy system for support anyone who led you to believe this is lying. All reps can approve credits and hang up if they feel like it
Followed up with support after my order and they offered me only a $5 credit. After I pressed on them about my prior chat they gave me the full $20.

My first phone call. they told me to make a pick up order, and we'll refund you $20 afterwards. I asked them for a reference number to document everything and hope they will honor it after promising me. Gotta make sure it's a doorpass restaurant though and before 8/23. To be fair, my "Enrollment date: 08/17/2020", I became a dashpass member for a specific promotion. $20 off pick up, DDPICKUP20.
I made a 2nd phone call, asking them to look up this reference number, to make sure it works and I asked them to explain to me what it says. The notes said, refund $20 afterward.
Today, I spent $24 pick up (using $10 doordash credit) and around $14 credit card
Online chat, gave them my freaking reference number. They still couldn't help me NOR want to honor it.
Called door dash, gave them my reference number. After reading the notes, I provided them my account information, they gave me $20 doordash credit.
In conclusion, online chat, people are useless and probably have very little power. This is a lot of trouble to just save $20. Not worth it but feels good lmfao. Hope this helps
