I just returned the Samsung Alpha, while it was a good deal and the screen was amazing... it got so hot and the fans ran under light load. Additionally the performance was lacking for a 2020 device. I do agree, it was beautifully designed and very portable and light.

How about the Office depot deal for $529 ? IdeaPad 5 Laptop, 15.6" Screen, AMD Ryzen 5, 8GB Memory, 256GB Solid State Drive.
Yes the ram is maxed at 8, but the ryzen 5 seems much faster and less energy consuming.

That's not a convertible. If that doesn't matter to you it's a good deal (and there are other comparable deals available that best the specs and/or price that the Yoga has to offer).

I just did the same... waiting for the alpha to come. My main gripe with the Lenovo is the dimness

Typing on the C740 as we speak and agree that the screen does not live up to my expectations. Plan on returning it for something a little brighter.
