It's not that crap. Not everyone needs OLED. For a good brand at this size and with Costco warranty, this is very good deal.
Love this TV! Native 120hz, VA Panel, Direct-lit but without Local Dimming, good natural color, great panel uniformity, low input lag, solid HDR performance (only 500-600 nits though) Highly recommended at this price.
This for sure

Rtings reviewed the smaller version of this TV with IPS edge-lit panel, none of the pros and cons they listed apply to the 85" model. We've been over this many times on SD...
I stand corrected. Good catch!

Looking for a 82"+ TV. This or the Samsung RU9000 or Q6DT?
For the price, this. This and those other two are probably very similar in performance.

It's a slick deal, was $1969 back in January. But, I held off on buying this TV after seeing it side-by-side with 900F and 950G at BB. It wasn't even close to 900F's picture quality and motion. But I would take this one over the cheap LG 86".

Any idea in the included warranty with Costco on this TV?

2 years plus an additional 2 if you use the Costco Visa card.

Costco adds an additional year to manufacturers warranty for a total of 2 years. If you have a Costco citi visa that adds an additional 2 years for a total of 4. If you buy a square trade that adds 3 years for a total of 7 years

I have a 2015 mid level Sony 810c. It's ips but even compared to a tcl 6 it performs a lot better. The tcl 6 has more color but has artifacts so I chose my old tv over it. So long way of saying Sony ips are nowhere near the oled or top tier lcd but aren't trash

I have the 75" Q60R which I am really not impressed with and going to return. Color is disappointing along with 1080p content quality, black levels, sound syncing, etc. Is this TV better? Also considering the Hisense 75" H8G or Vizio PX75.

A great deal and buy it!

I have this and Samsung Q70 86" and the Sony has better color and anti-glare. Since the Sony is in a well-lit, high traffic living room, I could care less about HDR and local dimming.

A common problem with 85"+ TVs, you will not have many options for TV stand (FYI if TV stand is barely wider than TV, the TV still looks very oddly out of place) So either commit to hanging it on the wall or putting it on a mobile cart for 100' TVs, the latter is what I did.
