It's not that crap. Not everyone needs OLED. For a good brand at this size and with Costco warranty, this is very good deal.

Love this TV! Native 120hz, VA Panel, Direct-lit but without Local Dimming, good natural color, great panel uniformity, low input lag, solid HDR performance (only 500-600 nits though) Highly recommended at this price.

Has anyone ever joined Costco, just to get a particular deal? It would be a year membership for about $60?

While you might not have a physical store nearby, I assume you can still buy online? Thanks
Yes you can buy online with the membership even if there is no physical stores nearby.

FYI this item does not require membership. Only items that states Member only requires membership and prompt you to sign in.

Reviews about blooming black worries me. Is it worth waiting for a better TV on Black Friday?

Kind of. Attempted to purchase without membership and the include 5% fee on top... which is more than the membership fee to just buy a one year membership... so while true, it's worth getting a membership to save 10 bucks.

Does anyone that has this Tv explored the options for external speakers? This appears to have additional speakers in the set and has Dolby Atmos.

But it does not have any read speakers that come with it. If I get a soundbar set, I am essentially replacing the whole set of speakers. Therefore I am curious if anyone has tried setting this up with a subwoofer and rear speakers in some way.
If you're spending this much on a huge TV I'd not rely on their speakers. Guaranteed any external set will sound better.

This or the TCL/Vizio from last week? I pulled the trigger on vizio 75 but this ones size is tempting. Any thoughts if I should cancel that and get this for 100 bucks cheaper? First new TV in 7 years so could use advise..
The Sony X850G lacks full-array local dimming; therefore, it will not provide an adequate HDR viewing experience. However, if you mostly watch SDR then the Sony X850G may be worth considering.

Love this TV, no complain about it considering the price I paid ($1700) last Christmas. The Android OS is fairly snappy except that it reboots itself once or twice a month. Especially when after you watched a lot of 4K contents via the built-in apps. That's a minor annoyance.
Thanks. Any idea how the screen handles a bright room? My living room has a lot of windows on the wall facing the TV.

Anyone else concerned about WiFi connectivity with this tv... read few negative reviews about wifi dropping of... i am thinking about using a wired connection.

?? ONLY 4 reviews at costco complained about wifi problems ( out of 111 reviews ) you don't even know what kind of wifi they have in their homes.

The LG is better but the price is gone. The LG is also 20 lbs lighter
This is VA direct lit. The LG is IPS edge lit. Sony PQ is way way better.
Non OLED LG are bottom of the line as far as pq.

Too many reviews online mention bad clouding/black uniformity issues. Makes sense for a non-FALD panel this large.

Had 75" X850E which died after 2.5 years.
Weird coincidence. My 75 inch X850E died few weeks back. It just won't power on.

This is good for people not looking to shell out big bucks on a large TV. People that don't look for the best feature, since 780:1 contrast is like watching a movie on an average projector. For comparison, my 7yr old Sharp 80" 1080p has 4,000,000:1 contrast ratio, but then again, it was about $5k at that time.

Did you buy extended warranty?
No purchased warranty, just manufacture warranty that's covering it. I had to submit receipt and several pictures. They emailed back stating they were "ordering the part and sending a tech out next week". We'll see how next week goes.
