It's not that crap. Not everyone needs OLED. For a good brand at this size and with Costco warranty, this is very good deal.
Love this TV! Native 120hz, VA Panel, Direct-lit but without Local Dimming, good natural color, great panel uniformity, low input lag, solid HDR performance (only 500-600 nits though) Highly recommended at this price.
This for sure

Yeah and I'm sure you really can tell the difference in quality picture side by side for an average user. Go get your magnify glass dude
Looks great online, but I was at costco last week and when they're all lined up next to each other you can really tell the difference. The OLED model blew me away.

Well the OLED model is close to 3x the price of this unit.... I have the LG C9 I use for a desktop monitor and that 55" cost more than this 85". What do you expect?

Looks like a great price !
Still, it got me wondering if 8k around the corner has influenced the 4k prices. Although it will be a while before there's gonna be enough 8k content and, the higher definition offered by 8k may not be discernible easily to the human eyes

So QLED doesn't give the Q60 line any benefits over the Sony?

I own the 85" x950. I love the tv, but settings will need to be adjusted to get the best picture. The apps work really well and the ability to use the bluetooth headphones is awesome.

Qled, nano (lg) and triluminous (Sony) are marketing gimmicks that don't mean anything regarding pq

You should make sure it can hold the weight. This tv is heavy.
Looks like it can hold up to 130 pounds, tv without stand is only 100. Should be good.

There is no OLED at 80+ inches (or they are WAY too expensive).
There will not be any TV close to this TV in your home to perform direct comparison.
The TV at the warehouses are NOT calibrated so compared to OLED, other TVs will look that much worse.

Same situation, i pulled the trigger. I like my projector, I used to love it but the compromises have outweighed how much I love it. I'd much rather have a slightly smaller screen, a brighter picture, and higher contrast. Fingers crossed, it is supposed to be delivered on Saturday!
Thank you, decided and placed order based on your response.

No FALD is a heartbreaker. For those who haven't had a tv with FALD, you're missing out on deep blacks - almost OLED-like.
