I haven't yet received my TV to mount it but expect it will work well.
Following may interest others:
AT&T TV - Not available on Sony TV Android App Store but can be side-loaded

Downloader - Fantastic app for side-loading apps
Plex - Great for streaming your own (Shared) content - Also, Emby and Jellyfin if preferred.
Airy TV - Similar to Pluto buy I found it to be better quality content for my needs.
Although I had issues with my delivery, I had originally gone through the web site to schedule delivery which was over week out. After googling my local Ceva logistics phone number, I called them and left a message explaining that I see my TV is already at your facility and if it was possible to organize a sooner delivery date and left my contact information. I then got a text message for delivery for next day.

That aside, this is a solid TV, or so it seems to me.
Max sustained fullscreen brightness in SDR from a laptop is 420 nits when calibrated to D65. Every white balance preset is actually cooler than this, including the Expert modes. In the blue modes, the max is closer to 500 nits. Here's what that looks like at noon in a room with a lot of windows: https://i.imgur.com/OvaE5FB.jpg I think it's quite punchy in the daytime and more than enough in the evening. Min brightness is 120 nits through manual settings and 80 nits if auto-brightness is enabled.
Calibration is a little tricky, but fortunately you don't need to do much unless you're expecting perfect grey tones. I ended up at max contrast, 0 gamma, 45 black, +4G tint, -2G gain and bias, -4B gain and bias. The result is an eyeball match to my various Apple devices, which all have near-perfect calibration. The challenge in this is that the black and gamma controls in particular aren't well-isolated, nor the gain and bias controls. Getting the gray tracking exactly right would require the service menu. Unnecessary, I think-- I've probably eyeballed it to a dE of under 5.
Contrast is very good. For all the hype, what you're really paying for with many local dimming screens is just more brightness from a superior backlight, not necessarily more contrast. This TV is totally decent in a dark room like all VA panels. Blacks aren't OLED-deep, but they're also not distracting like they are with IPS panels. Viewing angles are decent. Again, nothing to complain about unless you're within a few feet of the display.
The TV's Android system is fine for things like Netflix. Reasonably responsive. It's not great for Plex though. Very, very slow seeks despite a non-transcoded signal, and it stuttered attempting to interpret TrueHD on a 4K stream. I bought a Shield after playing with the TV for a day.
Audio is surprisingly good. Like, good enough that I don't think I'm going to bother with a soundbar or external speakers, except for a subwoofer. Good clarity, plenty of volume.
Motion interpolation is bad. Bit disappointed here. Fine for TV shows without much movement, but distracting artifacts for things like running animals in nature shows, even on the low setting. Alas.
For $1400 or whatever, I think it'll be a bargain for some months.
