You can also get $5 off a $20 order with the code SUMMERFIVE which looks like it is good through 9/6. Stacks nice with this.
Tired urban myth as the most you can pay at US Starbucks for an actual coffee is $3 for a 20oz Venti after tax. Sure, you can pay $5 or more for a latte, mocha, frap, etc., but those are NOT "coffee" even if some have coffee in them. I agree that regularly paying $5+ for a drink at Starbucks is nuts (plus not healthy since some of these drinks are super-fat and calorie-filled), but if you just get a regular human-sized coffee now and then for $2.50, I think that's reasonable, especially with free refills and if you're looking to hang out for a few hours (back in the pre-pandemic days and hopefully again someday).

As for Panera, yeah, they're overpriced, but their food is good and now and then they have $ or % off promos that combined with this 20% off GC make it worth it. Plus, you're going to be spending around the same for healthy and tasty food pretty much anywhere. If you want to eat healthy and tasty and not spend a lot, make your own food at home.
their stuff is sooo expensive. I'm a member of their coffee club and the employees are really nice, but the only thing i've ever purchased from there is the cinnamon sugar bagel and tulip cookie.

I have a buddy that works there during the semester who sometimes brings leftovers after the store has closed, it's pretty good, but still way too high priced. Their margins have to be crazy high because they don't pay the employees any more than McDonald's does. Too bad you can't buy stock in the company.

Yup their prices blow my mind. I only ever shopped at one when there was a coupon or deal and even then it was because it was next door to my office. Lol otherwise I avoid it like the plague. Could go for some sort of avocado sandwich tho

A tiny little cup of kids mac n cheese with a tube of yogurt is about $6. Ouch.
A tiny bowl of salad is about $6. Ouch
A half sandwich is about $6. Ouch.
Iced coffee watery. Hot, dark coffee is good.
More examples of crazy prices, but I do love their chipotle chicken avocado sandwich and Greek salad.

Coffee club and rewards help make up for high prices, so I still go there.

Yeah. They were running some decent promos pretty often ($3 off $5 or something). Was the only time I could justify going there

Agreed. I feel like the portion sizes also got extremely small at some point around 6-8 months ago. I used to get the 1/2 sandwhich and 1/2 soup and it was enough food to feed my fat self, but now it's like, here is this 4 bite sandwhich, a tiny tea cup of soup, and maybe a piece of baguette... That'll be $13. Oh, you wanted a drink? $16.

I find this 20% off on GC as a decent deal. I have joined their coffee club. Tbh, stack it with their rewards club where rewards like $1 off pick 2, free bagel, free bakery item and many times I have received free pick 2 as well. Something thats ambiguous is their reward system thats based on # of visits. I usually combine hazelnut large coffee with a bagel($1.39) or sometime an apple(99 cents), that takes me closer to rewards. I feel their prices are 20% or so inflated. This 20% off on GC kinda takes it closer to reality and then stack their rewards with 1 or more coffee per day.

Agree with all that prices here are way too high but this makes it a little easier to digest if going anyways. I usually keep a couple discount cards to use on bagel Tuesdays

This post is much better than mine, but I posted this same deal 6 days ago in hot deals (don't know how to get it into front page or popular). Any advice? Not sure place to ask this besides thread, sorry.

Their new Duets look like a good deal at $5.99 but when you click to pay it changes to $7.99. The best deal in my opinion is the coffee membership and buy a plain sourdough bread bowl to snack on for about $2.59. Cookies are almost $4!!! Disneyland prices. At least the coffee club is a good deal.
