However, for those hesitant to drop this much on a chair (like I was), I will say that there are plenty of second hand chairs and third party units available for so much cheaper.
I found that chairs like the Aeron and Embody are definitely comfortable for a few hours at a time, but it's still extremely hard to justify the price. Is it comfortable? Sure. But it's not $1,000+ comfortable.
At the end of the day, you're really paying huge premiums for adjustable features, not seat cushioning. There really is no office chair that will give you a full day's worth of comfort. So just keep that in mind if you're expecting something that feels like sitting on clouds. You won't get that with any office chair, no matter how much it costs.
I compared authentic and third party Steelcase Leap, Aeron, and Embody chairs, before keeping the third party Leap for $250 and sending the rest back. YMMV but I'd highly recommend buying secondhand or picking up a sturdy unit from a third party seller for a fraction of the price (even non-authorized retailers can sell really good units). There are plenty of resellers which opens the door for price matching with certain cards, as well.

The code "Apple" didn't seem to work on this particular chair (at least for me), but code "Facebook" did and discounted it by 30% down to $1,046.50.
