Note: although it said you need to port in, I was able to checkout by getting a new #. So probably no need to port.

I learned from SD to get a Sim from ebay to port out from Sprint. I think it will serve the same purpose.
Go to eBay and search at&t phone port (2.49 + tax, I used empiremobi)
phone, account and pin numbers emailed to you

From other threads, there's something about this e6 that is different than others.

older $20 thread for information purposes

uhhh yeah? I think the $25 price point reflects that and no where was it mentioned that this was actually free free. You still have to trade in and also purchase 1 month of service

havent paid for the 2nd month, dont plan to. but supposedly the speck promo is supposed to be emailed to you without the 2nd month. didnt get it

fairly certain they pulled the promos for this and it was just a display error on the website
Seems worth inquiring about. I would think that they could throw some kind of a bone your way.

The tool that Visible now has to get your account number and PIN is very user friendly. I managed to port out a lapsed line with no problem.

In case anyone is wondering, I used the number to port to Metro to get a free iPhone 7. This is a very small amount of money to risk to see if the phone will unlock in 6 months after I let the service expire after the 1st month.

I just let mine sit and I got the Account Suspension notice today. After that you still have 60 days to port out the number.
This is no longer true. Once the account is suspended you cannot port out. The account has to be in active status to port out. This means you have to pay $40 for the account to be made active again. I went through this experience last month when I was trying to port out a number that was only 2 days in suspended status. Prior to last month, I was using Visible to park numbers that I used for various deals and the 60-day grace period worked perfectly for me. Now that grace period is gone. Big Grin

I was under the impression that essentially holding your number for ransom (any fee) was illegal.

Well, I can personally confirm that I successfully ported out an inactive/suspended Visible line to Metro just a few days ago.

I did have a problem a few months ago porting out an inactive Visible line to Unreal Mobile. The line was able to make outgoing calls but not receive incoming. However, I think the issue there was with Unreal, not Visible. I was told by Visible that the account had to be active in order to for them to help reprocess the re-port out. Visible allowed me to pay $40 to activate my line and then after the line was fully ported out, they gave me a refund.

Has anyone traded in a Hotspot ? it has an IMEI number. I typed it in and it accepted it. I have a "locked hotspot" thats pretty much worthless. It turns on and works.

I tried to return a tab which is in working condition, I had chat with them they said they will reject it saying it has to be a phone.
I don't think they will accept hotspot. You can have chat and keep a copy of that chat if they agreed to accept.

Does this Moto e6 have the exact same layout as any other model? Caseable.com doesn't seem to have cases for these and was wondering if any other models use the same case I could search for and use. I have a discount code on caseable I would like to use.

Thanks. Google search led me to believe although says unlocked, wasn't being transferred overseas.
