*** UPDATE -- free AAL ends COB Thursday, 9/24! ***

It appears that another T-Mobile "Line On Us" for existing customers is coming this Friday. No word on the duration of the promo. Voice lines only.

It also allegedly stacks with the prior free lines. I'll update with any cheap/free phone deals that may be available...

Look up your SOC code (pasted from prior deal thread -- can't create a Wiki for some reason):

How do I look up my SOC code?
If you want to know what your SOC code is, login using a web browser so you are looking at your account. Be sure to enable "Web Console". (FireFox --> Menu --> Web Developer --> Web Console) Pop over to the Network tab and look for an XHR request to "Subscriber".
you'll see your SOC Code in the Response section. For example, here is the relevant section:

````
{
"ratePlan": {
"name": "Simple Choice North America 10GB Family Match Promo",
"planType": "SIMPLECHOICE",
"socCode": "10SFM2LN"
}
}
````

You need to be on the "home" URL when you enable the tools. I've attached a screenshot that shows (circles) all of the areas you should be at or click to ensure you can see the SOC Code. Sorry if this is too complicated - just trying to share info.

For your plan code view in Chrome:
View>Developer>JavaScript Console. Then tap Network tab then XHR tab.
Then go to the main T-Mobile account homepage (the magenta square with white T in the upper left…or refresh it if already there).
In the Java window, single-tap Subscriber (or type it in the Filter search tab if you can't find it, then single-tap Subscriber)
Tap Response tab (if not already selected). In that long string, you will find the plan and socCode.

The free line promo ended on 24th, But not the free iphone Pro on us. As long as you open a line since 8/28/2020 and that line hasn't gotten a device promo, you can do get this iphone 11 Pro/ Max w/ eligible trade in, port in. Try Twitter, Tforce, or even chat inside your app or text 611. Tell the rep, I'd like to do the upgrade for my line added on 9/22 with promo "2020 Apple Switch P5 code T365". Please apply that promo to my line for my purchase of 11 Pro or Pro Max .... Tell rep your trade in IMEI, phone size, color, model. You may have to pay for $20 support fee and ask them to do overnight for free or 2Day for free. Then do your port in right away and you will see the device's promo attach to that line w/i 24 hours (even before your iphone 11 pro arrives) and even before you mail out your trade in.
I will try again then. I already ported the number in the 23/24. Thanks for the promo code number. I will try another store and T-Force via another channel then.

Same for me earlier. So I have texted tmo customer care and they were able to help to apply the default data (4gb) for me.

Just any FYI for anyone that took advantage of the 1/2 off a oneplus 8 5g when you add a line. The price dropped from $699 to $599. (as of today?) I called in and had them take $100 off my financed amount for the phone. After the $200 off a 5g hookup, the phone will cost $100. Not bad. 😁

Does this free line qualify for free Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G after 24 months credit? OR you can't have installment billing on Free line eventhough it is free? Thx
Quote from kenpet :
Is it possible to stack just device promo (S20 FE 5G) free after 24 months credits with this free line? Maybe better than $250 BYOD promo. Thx
Quote from kenpet :
So my free line got activated on Saturday. Still waiting for the SIM. If I want to get S20 FE 5G which is free after monthly credits, can I do that instead of the BYOD $250 promo? Will the phone promo stack with the free line is the question. Thank you. Repped.
No. You can combine free line with free hardware, but promo dates MUST overlap.

Free line ended 9/24. Free Galaxy started 9/25.

Can open a new paid line to get free Galaxy.

Quote from CalmSoda260 :
Both in store rep and T-Force stated that the promo stopped on the 24th and then restarted the next day. Because of that maneuver the line added during the first promo period (22nd) cannot be combined with the promo now that restarted at a later date (from 25th on). Kind of sneaky. That's what they told me.
Yep. It's all about the promo dates. If you have overlapping active promos, you're good. If not, they won't stack.

Any rep should be able to add the default 2.5 GB that comes with a SC line. Because the 4GB is considered "promotional" (and expired) you'll need to have it escalated to get the 4GB applied.

The t-mobile reps (T-force) are denying the promo exists. Or am I losing my mind? I thought a fourth line would be free, and I inquired about it on my bill. The rep that gave me the plan said the fourth is free.

Thank you so much for these details and sending over the screenshot. I see that the message from the 18th was for our "Get a 3rd line free with qualifying plan" offer.
I double checked the promotional codes you provided and I see PR213061 & BGS32 & 20Q32 are for our "Get a 3rd line free with qualifying plan" offer.
Was there a different offer you had looked into redeeming? "

Did you contact T-Mobile via phone, or use another method, when you spoke to the first 2 reps?

When exactly did these two new lines get activated? Both on the 18th? It's unclear to me if this 3rd line was activated prior to the 18th.

If T-Force cannot do anything, you can contact Executive Care by sending an e-mail to Mike.Sievert@t-mobile.com. They have more power than T-Force and may be able to make things right. Free line promos usually only attach if the activation date is within the timeframe of the promo, but my guess is that they have some way to fudge it to work.
Contacted Executive Care and was told they couldn't put past promo on but offered to give 2 years of service since I got phones on 24 months EIP.
They told me T-mobile had changed their system so no one can change plans or put anything on. If something falls off your account, it's off for good.

At least you got something out of it. I very highly doubt, however, that you're just out of luck if a legitimate promo falls off. That would mean that if the system goes haywire tomorrow and removes every promo from every account, every single customer with a promo would be out of luck. That's just foolish, and ,I'm guessing, untrue.

Just really frustrated that i wasted 7 days sitting in front of my computer waiting for tforce and talking to useless CR. If it wasn't because the line in question is on 24 months EIP, they would just offer to cancel it.

Hopefully they will have another free line offer soon. The new members I added on my account are not happy with the incident. At least we have 2 years to figure something out ......

For future reference, in which way would port out a line not affect the free line? If t-mobile offers more free lines down the road, how would porting out a line (that added around this time) affect it?

thanks

Most (if not all) free lines require you to keep a minimum number of paid lines (2) and keep all lines currently on the account for 1 year. BOGOs are similar, but require you to keep the BOGO pair (not just the free line). As long as you don't cancel a line during the year and don't fall below the minimum line requirement, you should be good.

They told me that they couldn't change the eip price once it has started. They did give me the full credit to my account.
If they did the phone would have cost me $35.34. After the $200 rebate.

Monthly Payments: $29.17 x 23 = $670.91 If they did a adjustment $100 ($570.91)
Monthly Credits: $14.59 x 23 = ($335.57)* 50 %
Amount Left: $235.34 - $200.00 = $35.34

I think tax is included. Did you check with them, why you got charged?
Quote from densityy2k :
Just saw the bill and there was an extra 7.66 charged to my account. The reps says that it is taxes and fees for the free line. Anyone has the same issue?

I added the free line on 9/24. Line was activated and SIM sent on 9/25 via ground shipping. Still haven't received the SIM. I got hold of another SIM; called and activated this SIM on the same free line. The customer service credited back the SIM charge of $10.66. I also ported in the ATT number.

Changing the SIM shouldn't impact the free line status, correct? Wish they were more like Visible in terms of shipping. Fantastic service.

Thx

It shouldn't, no. As long as you added the free line before the promotion expired, you'll be fine. You can always contact T-Mobile (I recommend via Twitter) to ask about the activation date of the line. As long as it's within the promotional period, you're good.
