Based on the information from this thread and another community, I created a guide so that more people can hopefully navigate this deal easier and so questions won't be continuously repeated.

Because this will be a living document, I created a Google Doc for ease of updates: https://docs.google.com/document/...sp=sharing

Note: I am not a T-Mobile employee and this is my first-time doing a trade-in with a Hookup code, so I am learning alongside most people here; thus, my guide may not be fully accurate. Feel free to make suggestions for corrections if you notice any mistakes or parts that lack clarity. And if you found my guide helpful, please post a response here just so I know and will continue doing these. Thank you.

I hope this helps,
Tofu Vic
Since this involves a trade-in, just want to remind folks that you can trade-in in person at a T-mobile corporate location and by doing so, avoid any surprises from mailing in your device
Starting 9/25 get a Galaxy S20 FE 5G for just $200 over 24 months via bill credits when you trade in an eligible device:

Apple: iPhone 11, XS Series, XR, X, 8 Series, iPhone 7 series
Samsung: Galaxy S10 series, Galaxy Note10 series, Galaxy S9 series, Galaxy Note9, Galaxy S8 series, Galaxy Note8, Galaxy S7 series
Google: Pixel 4/4XL, Pixel 3A/3AXL, 3/3XL
OnePlus: 8, 8 Pro, 7T Pro McLaren, 7T, 7, 7 Pro, 6, 6T
LG: V60 ThinQ, G8 ThinQ, G7 ThinQ, V50 ThinQ, V40 ThinQ

Or get one free via bill credits when you add a line.

THIS STACKS WITH THE $200 HOOKUP CODE! Remember, only one Insider Hookup code per account, whether it's the 20% or the $200. See here for details on that promo. Please do not ask for hookup codes in this post.

Please note: This WILL NOT stack with the free line. The free line ends 9/24, and this phone promo begins 9/25. There is NO WAY to get this phone for free using the free line. Please don't bother support trying to do it.

https://www.t-mobile.com/cell-pho...-s20-fe-5g

Click the magenta text at the top of the page to see the offer for $500 off. Must be logged in to see the offer. To see the "free with add a line" offer, open in incognito. Please note the $500 off page currently says "when you add a line and trade in" but the adding a line part is a typo and not necessary.

What is everyone doing with their $70 Samsung credit?
A case for me. Been searching on Caseology and don't see any cases for the FE yet.

Also my phone is being delivered tomorrow! Now to find a Type Code 3 has been really hard. But I'm not giving up!

So how does the trade in works? Do I have to pay the full amount of the phone now, and the $500 will be deducted on my monthly bill?

Not true, it'll be released in couple of hours, if you don't complete the submission. So, don't be under 14 days assumption.

I was gonna hold off on trading in my S9+ for the iPhone 12 but even after trade in and probably add a line it would cost me much more for sure. Getting an insider hook up code sealed the deal for me.

Anyone have recommendations for Cases and Screen Protectors?

Any nice inexpensive case?

Since I got the mint, I decided on the clear cases to show the color off.

Amazon:

There are a few $3-5 options from China and a few for $8-15 USA options already on eBay, but nothing that I could find from reputable case makers like Spigen or Otterbox.

The cheap cases Look nice but not sure

I bought the S20 FE for my significant other and have ordered the Spigen Ultra Hybrid case [amazon.com] for $12.99 with free shipping.

I have a personal Best Protective Smartphone Cases ranking list, if you're interested.

Take care,

Rep is talking nonsense. Insurance is never required on these phones deals.

I honestly did not see that. On top of that it seems like those who bought through samsung app or samsung.com get to redeem at checkout before receiving phone.

I have an S7 and the trade in value is $23, but I assume that we get $500 because of the promotion. My question is, if I send in my S7 and they deem it "imperfect" for whatever reason, do they generally go yes/no, or do they lower the offer? So will they come back and say, instead of $23, we'll only give you $10? If they do that, does the $500 promotion become $10 or does it become $487?

Lol! Tofu Vic does case reviews, NOW I have seen it all.

I'm a big fan of the Spigen cases as well. They are solid and well thought out.

Wait, we can still sign up for this credit if we buy from T-Mobile. Good lord these 80-page threads are hard to keep up with.

I ordered an s20fe this morning through T-Force. Bummed he did not waive the $20, but he did do "free" next day shipping at least. Feel like complaining about a $272 + GS7 price tage for a phone is uncool, though.

Yeah, way too many pages. This seems to be the most comprehensive place of information about this thread:
