Man, I really hope Amazon produces a new Amazon Fire TV device (not stick, not cube).I'm still running a 2nd gen FTV, but it's starting to get slow, and the remote sucks.
I think because they can get the devices so small now. Putting it into a set top box makes no sense now.

Yep and the baclash is justified

Should have been a 4k with 3/4gb ram and 16/32 internal storage. 8gb on the new release is just ridiculous!
There's no need to update the 4K right now. 8gb is enough space. If you're running out of space just uninstall the apps your not using.

i disagree. time to update the storage all the way around. easy to say uninstall apps you aren't using if you live alone. but our family of 5 has varied preferences and we end up filling up the storage quickly and nobody wants their stuff uninstalled. storage is so cheap now, no reason they can't bump it up

I disagree that memory is cheap. Expect a higher price with more memory.

i'd be happy to pay for that memory. they can make the bare bones version and the higher memory version and let people choose. wouldn't really cost them anything. apple makes a fortune on their extra memory options

But the problem is that the Fire sticks (even newest Gens) are not as powerful as the boxes.

hi guys,
do you know the 25% coupon for echo dot trade-in can be applied to the 2-3rd gen echo dot bundle?

It seems that I'm either somehow ineligible or they've capped out on redeeming Echo Dot (3rd Gen) trade-in's. At least on my screen it's like this...

I think I'm just late and out of luck. Some of the trade-in values aren't so great but overall it's still nice they are even doing it at all. I'm happy for you folks who were able to upgrade at least Smilie

Not really, there are thousands that received gen 2 and 3 for $.99 or free with some deal. They are practically giving some people free money and a discount code.
this is true, all my new dots were 7 dollars each with the amazon music deals. Anyone who wants dots cheaply should just hold out for those promotions, they've happened a lot so far. It is one per account so we just churned through all the individual accounts in the family. When you have got the dot, then you can either cancel or continue the amazon music subscription.

Why won't they take my Fire 7 9th Gen 🤔🤦🏻

Is it that sh*t that even Amazon doesn't want it back?

Also the Echo 2nd gen is showing $30 estimated value, appraise adjusted just $5, thoughts? (For 30)
Obviously i will decline appraise adjust and have them ship it back to me

2nd gens on eBay are selling for ~$30 used and ~$50 new, so $30+discount seems okay ...if they accept.

FWIW, their appraiser can be arbitrary. They downgraded my Echo Show last time for some phantom screen issue. Meanwhile, the Warehouse sells me a Like New Kindle that was mauled by a greasy bear.

I ordered a USB wire that's supposed to come tomorrow to expand the storage.

It's kinda like a splitter. Has one male USB, one female USB, and one female micro USB. If you google it there are videos and diy pages.
