I want new the Echo Dot "ball" with clock... but it's still a pre-order item. Since the 25% coupon is good until February, 2021, I think I am gonna wait until BF and hopefully the new dot will on sale then.

Yes, both the gift card credit and the 25% discount were instantaneous. Turned in an Echo Spot for $30... got it new for $52 in 2018. Want to replace it with the new Echo Dot and will wait until BF.

Did they fix it or something? I submitted the 2nd gen echo dot, but it says you will get the giftcard and 25% off when they receive the item. It's been a few minutes since submitting but I don't see either showing up at checkout

EDIT: So it seems you have to do it from the Show's order page. And it doesn't work on the Camera bundle
EDIT2: Still not giving me the 25% off
EDIT3: Ended up adding it with the app instead of browser. Worked fine

Yes! Worked (20%=$26 off) for a Kindle Paperwhite ($50 off today). And bought a $40 gift card to get a $10 credit too! Immediately used the $40 gift card towards the Kindle. Also used the $10 While Foods credit. Great deal...

What happen if you don't turn in your trade in device? Someone said they will only take away the gift card but not the trade in discount.

i did. if you have purchased the fire tv device that you are trading in on that same account, it should pull that up automatically when you start the trade and if you choose that, it will give you the discount immediately.
if you have to send in something that you haven't purchased with that account, you'll have to wait for the item to arrive at amazon before you get the discount

I tried the trade in twice, but they never gave me the 20% discount on top of prime day sale, even though they said so. don't know why it happened.
