with the amount of Samsung Points I have burning a hole in my pocket.
AAFES has been mentioned for being tax free for military members. No add ons.
Costco includes both a $50 Art Store Credit and Square Trade 5 Year warranty ($115 total value) - https://www.costco.com/.product.994300
Samsung Direct bundles the bezel for an additional $40 for first responders/military, and $50 for others. 2% CB on your favorite site, and some may have a bunch of Samsung points to use up - https://www.samsung.com/us/televi...s03taf
Crutchfield is discounting the Bezel by $50 and 3% CB on some sites - https://www.crutchfield

Long story short....$864.99 delivered for a 50" Samsung The Frame TV and brown bezel bundle.
Edit: The $50 off for teachers/first responders/military is not supposed to apply to Samsung, nor televisions, but they did it no questions asked.
Best I could do with ABT was $985.96 OTD. ??
They said if you send me your order number then they can look up what kind of deal you got. But even with my student discount, it wouldn't get as low as your order did (mine would be $936).
Its alright as a TV but I'll definitely have to tweak the picture settings. Nice in a family room, but picture not as a main tv or movie spot. Sidenote, I wish dumb TVs were still sold. First smart tv, another Nvidia Shield is already on order.

How is it different that a regular TV, advantages, disadvantages, etc.
I've never heard of this and kinda don't get it.

Actually, Samsung could do even better now by changing the shape of their standard QLEDs to being flat on the back and mounting without a gap with NO separate box. So what if the whole TV is an inch thicker -- hide it with a better frame. How would that not sell? Even so, the software for the Frame is awful.
Initial impressions:
- The stock black "bezel" looks fine. It has a metallicy dark charcoal plastic finish.
- Off-axis color reproduction is good, so as you walk by the image doesn't shift much
- It was much heavier than I expected
- The mount is clever. It does sit flat on the wall but is not as thin as I expected. The bezel is 1.5" deep, which does look like a framed picture, more or less, and then there's a quarter inch behind that which is recessed for ventilation. So it is still sticking out 1.75" from the wall total.
Disappointments:
- the "one wire" is thin and unobtrusive, but using their wire routing ONLY exits at the center bottom of the set. In my case it would have been perfect exiting right side bottom edge.
- Initial picture quality impressions is that this is a good but not amazing TV
- the one connect box I actually like, if only the wire were easier to deal with
- It really isn't fooling anybody. If you are within 8' of it, it looks like a TV. Maybe slightly more art-like than a regular TV but that's about it.
I bought it primarily to use as a second monitor in my home office (for presenting) and hung it on the wall next to me where I had a photo. It looks good and gives me some visual interest but I am way too close to it to be fooled. I will admit it DOES look pretty convincing when displaying an oil painting as the depth of the paint adds a bit.
Overall I rate it a 5/10 on sale with a 5 year warranty, (costco) at full price I probably would have returned it. It probably would be very cool if your normal viewing distance was 12+ foot away.
I would enjoy this in my living room on a 75" set but I'd need it to be a super high end panel to justify it.

You can have it display "art" or family pictures of whatever you want when not watching/gaming.
I'm pretty sure my Q70R has the option to do the same thing except it looks like a regular TV on a TV stand. The TV in this post, you would mount flush on a wall.
Honestly, I'm not a TV expert but if there is a cheaper TV with the same specs, then get that instead, unless you want to be able to match your tv to your wallpaper or whatever.
