Let's hope Costco matches and the iPhone 7 or even the 6s are eligible

Yeah, I can see T-mobile scheming now on the terms:
Add 3 lines of Magenta only, requires 36 months of bill credits, trade-in iPhone X or higher and one major organ ...

was it being used on tmobile between August 2, 2020 - October 2, 2020?

seems as though that will be a hurdle that most will face
yeah, that's not an issue. The wiki says "up to $215" so I'm not clear if that's the actual amount or what.

Can't I just buy a used phone and trade-in? I wonder why this is a requirement... is ti because they need to match the returned phone to the T-mobile account?

Has anyone commented whether T-Mobile One Business would qualify for the $200 rebate?

Wow Tmobile now follows ATT with 30 months bill credits instead of 24 months?!

This just an illusion. See, the Sprint merger brought prices down just like they said. Good thing we have our fantastic government looking out for our best interests!

let's hope it's true and a better deal than tmobile
Not a Costco member but have friends who are. How do those Costco deals normally work? Same deal as with T-Mo but you get trade-in credit in full without having monthly bill credits (which I hate)?

correct.
Virtual card after 6-8 weeks
in the past they have done 'free' iPhone XR and free iPhone 11

that would be the base model of these phones.
Costco iPhones are usually 10% cheaper than retail apple pricing as well.

The only thing was that you had to add a line. So you had to factor in the cost of 2-3 months for that line. Once you received the rebate, many people canceled. That is why some have mentioned that Costco might not bring back those 'free' deals. Because they saw all the cancellations. Especially during the iPhone 11/pro deal. The limit was 4 lines per account. So imagine all those cancellations that people did once they received their big rebate.

See, i mentioned that i paid off my phone already, and he said that its one trade in promo credit per line. He did offer to give me the rest of the 2018 trade in credit as a lump sum bill credit if they did not stack
This link was mentioned earlier in this thread - https://www.t-mobile.com/support/...al-credits

It specifically says:

"To receive Recurring Device Credits (RDC), you must purchase your device on EIP and meet any other requirements of the promotion.
You may have one Recurring Device Credits (RDC) promo per line at a time. To get a new Recurring Device Credits (RDC) promo and keep your current credit, you must pay off the existing EIP first.
If you pay off your EIP early, you'll continue to receive the promised Recurring Device Credits (RDC) as an account-level credit through the remaining months of the promotional credit period (up to 24 or 36 months)."

The key here is "To get a new RDC promo and keep your current credit..."

So there is documentation to back up that this should work. I know in practice, it may not automatically work, but there is a specific document which says this should work.

Anyone have clarification if the phone has to just be used on the T-Mobile network or specifically on that persons account as well that is doing the trade in.

you will probably get the card a a full credit on a visa but you won't be able to get the $200 loyalty one

Thanks, this is super helpful. So if I want the 256GB Pro model the Costco deal is not for me?

I also don't like adding additional lines as this is always a pain. Especially if you are on a grandfathered T-One Plus Promo plan which I don't want to mess up with.

they will mention what rate plans qualify.
For the XR deal, a simple choice plan qualified.
for the 11 pro, it did not. I have another plan with tmobile ONE TE and it worked for the 11 deal as well as the XR deal.

if you want the 256 pro...it all depends the stock that Costco gets.
They don't always get all the colors and gb variants.

I think the usage requirement is only for the $200 additional rebate if you've been with T-Mobile for 5+ years. For trade in, any phone in good condition should be fine. Please let me know if I'm understanding this correctly...

The blue looks pretty cool on the 12 Pro. I'm ok waiting for the phone so I guess I'll wait to see what deals Costco has tomorrow and perhaps order then. Thanks!
Apple always seems to have the most inventory. So the other places are all scrambling for the leftovers. I know in previous years, it took weeks for Best Buy to get any real inventory. If they did, it was only one or two per size, per color, per carrier. I vowed never to get it from them again(I had a best buy gc to us). It was constant calling to see what they had.

And with all of the deals being offered by Tmobile and ATT, I wouldnt be surprised if Costco doesn't get much inventory until January. This is where the late launch affects things. And at that point, you're only 8 months away from the next launch and a new round of potentially great deals.
