Let's hope Costco matches and the iPhone 7 or even the 6s are eligible

Yeah, I can see T-mobile scheming now on the terms:
Add 3 lines of Magenta only, requires 36 months of bill credits, trade-in iPhone X or higher and one major organ ...

Not worth it. Wait for Costco deals
The Samsung pre-order took about 1 week for Costco to come up with the deal vs. when the carriers had it directly so FYI.

Also, I am considering that for long-time existing customers, if you have an old model laying about (iphone 5 or earlier) $50 bucks plus $200 + any costco discount isn't too shabby. You won't get $50 for any of these early models anywhere else right?

Just did it this morning, they are giving me $415 for my black 64 GB iPhone X as trade in. Also don't forget to ask about the extra $200 rebate they are offering for customers who have had T-Mobile for 5+ years!

No problem, an incorrect IMEI would be something I'd be concerned with but the color/memory variant isn't an issue. I have an old 1st gen SE on a rarely used line (old house #) so I'm debating if I want to order a 12 or 12 mini.. the +$200 loyalty rebate offer makes it a no brainer. I think I paid $80 for that phone and $415 total trade in value is nice!
Thanks. I actually just did a chat with T-Mobile and they confirmed that it won't be a problem.

The rep also confirmed that I do not need to change from my Simple Choice plan to get the $200 loyalty rebate. Just submit it online after getting the new phone (since you need the new phone IMEI for it).

I'm gonna wait and see what Costco may have to offer for upgrade promos for other lines. But for trading this old SE1, it's a no brainer and fine to deal with the monthly credits.

The problem isn't the trade-in, it's the price of the device. 3 months later they will give you the same trade-in but the phone will be $200 off via 24 billing cycles. This one is 30months!! The Costco deals are only 3-6 months and you can remove the extra lines.

QQ : the $200 loyality credit is it "One Per Account" or "One per Line" - I have 4 lines in my account all lines have been on T-Mobile for more than 5+ yrs, trying to trade in 3 phones - so will I be getting 3*200 per line = $600 or just $200. On call with T-Mobile rep he is not sure trying check on this, going by the past experience, I trust the SD than the reps. Thanks !!!

Used the Tmo app this AM at 6:45AM CST.
Me:
- Simple Choice Plan x 5 lines
- 2 lines are One on Us promo
- 3 lines are are 5 years, 2 months and 5 days old
- iPhone 11 Pro 256 in green. iPhone XS 64 in gold

What I got:
- traded in both iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone XS for $500 via monthly bill credits x 30
- got two iPhone 12 Pro 128 via installment plan
- got $200 Mastercard (go to https://promotions.t-mobile.com/ to claim. Use promo code 2020APPLEUPGRADE3. MUST BE DONE WITHIN 30 DAYS OF ORDER) for being customer for more than 5 years.
- paid $80 in taxes up front for each phone
- ship date Oct 23

This deal makes sense for me. I do not have any intention of leaving Tmo. For people who are moving or in a Tmo low service area this may not make sense.
You can't submit the promo without the new IMEI so you didn't get that yet....

I think that's normal. $193 is the regular trade in value. You'll get $193 upon trade in and the rest as bill credits.

Is this really how it works though? My X says $415 and the credit being applied across 30 months. It did not show up as $193 like the other guy.

Yep. It's even showing on the top of the screen when you order. Have to trade in an 8 or newer.

I was in same boat but never going to be able to get close to $700 back for my xs so i went for it
yes loyalty offer makes it attractive but still we will be paying $300 difference + $80 tax + $50 case...it adds up and I am sure after one year I can still get $400+ trade in value for iPhone XS. With 30 months bill credit they just make it sound like nothing. The only plus I see is no condition to add a line which is not often so might as well do it.

I am only getting $241 for my iphone and tmobile has it incorrectly listed as XS Max not the XS. Tried on desktop and tmobile app. Getting the same amount. Phone is paid off already. Anyone else getting this issue?

Does it say $415 in the order status page? Mine showed $415 during the order process but $193 in the order status page.

But I'm not worried because I've done 3 trade in promos with T-Mobile before and that's always how it worked before.
