I believe the trade-in device need to be active with your account for at least one day between August 2, 2020 - October 2, 2020. T mobile is smarter now that you can't just buy one off craigslist/ebay for the trade-in.

I got my iPhone 8 2.5 years ago through trade-in upgrade and has been active for 2.5 years. So no issue for me.

Yes, you can call in or use chat to get the promote. I like Chat because I can save the chat record incase there will be issue with trade-in.

Do you guys get the email order confirmation right away? I made the upgrade/trade-in this morning and so far only got the email for my signed EIP agreement for the iPhone 12 pro.
There is no email confirmation with order number yet.
Talked to T-Mobile chat rep and they don't see my order from their side.
This is very weird and confusing.

You added the iPhone 12/12 Pro in your cart and got quoted $193 as part of the trade-in process during checkout?
Maybe try selecting Apple-Generic as your Carrier rather than T-Mobile or Vice Versa.

Who would be using a gen 1 iphone in the last couple months if they kept it this long???or even anything up to like a 5? My last iphone 3g was traded in like 8 years ago and it was unusable then.

No, you just enter the info and place the order.

$193 is what you get when you send in your device.

The balance of the $415 will be given over the 30 months as credits.

The system sometimes doesn't do a good job of explaining that.

No, it doesn't show up in the checkout. You have to submit it separately.
