Yeah, I can see T-mobile scheming now on the terms:
Add 3 lines of Magenta only, requires 36 months of bill credits, trade-in iPhone X or higher and one major organ ...

Who would be using a gen 1 iphone in the last couple months if they kept it this long???or even anything up to like a 5? My last iphone 3g was traded in like 8 years ago and it was unusable then.
It has to be a 1st generation iPhone? The terms state, "Original iPhone through the 11 series."

Take care,

Mind sharing the link?
That perhaps sounds like replacing the SIM card on an existing line, but not switching phone numbers between two lines.

So if you've spent hundreds or thousands of dollars on eligible phones over the years, your not eligible for loyalist since it wasn't used in the past month?

Does it matter which line the trade in phone is used on? I had an old iPhone 6 on the line I added for free in Sept, but I want to trade in to use on a line currently has an iPhone SE2.

Also the line with SE2 has EIP since it's bought with that trade in promo back in May, I assume I'll just pay it off and the credit will still show up at account level, that's what TM says on the website but has anyone confirmed that's how it works?

Yeah that link is literally just how to activate or install a SIM card. But it wouldn't accomplish the goal of switching a old number to a new line (which would have your bill credits attached to it).

What does it show after you answer all those questions and submit?
It tells me "Thanks. Your estimated trade-in credit is $193.00!" and it takes me to the payment process. Total due today is tax on the full value of the iPhone 12. I'm using the chat with a live person now and will report back if I get anywhere.

I'm a noob so forgive me if I'm off base but the upgrade section that I quoted talks about activating the new SIM that comes with the phone and moving your number to it. Wouldn't I then be able to cancel the old line, not lose my old number, and then keep the new line for the credits?

I was happy today, my wife wanted new phones. They gave us $530 each for our Iphone 7 and Iphone 7plus. I got an Iphone 12 pro, my wife got an Iphone 12 and we just moved a line over for our teenage son who has a phone because we don't have a land line and we want him to have access to a phone he needs us or worst case has to call emergency services. In addition to the trade in credit, they were running 2 lines get one free, so our sons line is free. I don't need more than the essentials plan, and essentials includes 5g. All 3 lines including the remaining balance of the phones came to 103.XX plus tax. We were paying $90 for 3 lines with paid off phones for a no contract plan. I did have to pay the phones down to $750 balance each because I don't have perfect credit (Medical) and I didn't want them to run my wife's currently PERFECT credit because there are bigger fish for us to fry and I didn't want that inquiry on her credit. I ended up paying around $300 down plus tax. They waived all the fees when they called to confirm my order, they had about $70 in sim card and service fees before, I am not complaining. $530 credit for an Iphone 7!!! TAKE IT NOW. Estimated trade in on Apples website was $75 and regular trade in on Tmobiles website was $78. The Ebay rate for phone only not refurbished was around $150-$200 but it looks like that picked up with the generous trade offers from Tmobile and AT&T, I don't know why, you have to have it activated for 90 days prior to get the trade in bonus.

From what I understand about 5G, Tmobile has the widest network but it is not nearly as fast as Verizon or AT&T and that it will take years for them to catch up thanks to Tmobiles purchase of Sprints network. I am reading the Tmobile network will have 1/2 the speed but be much wider and work much better indoors and in rural areas... which has been the opposite of Tmobiles strengths in the past.

added full terms in wiki. With pre-order, you will need to wait for the phone to be delivered because it's required the IMEI of the phone in order to submit the promo.

I'm looking to buy 4 phones, so the taxes on the full amount really adds up. Does anyone know if the tax amount if based on where you purchase the phones (if I go into a store) or is it based on the billing address on the plan for existing customers?

How did you get 530 trade in for a iPhone 7? Does size condition etc matter?

I read through some of the messages... I didn't sign up for 30 months, I signed up for 24 months. I double, triple checked the contract.

And yeah, if you have an X or newer it isn't a slick deal, but if you have a 7 it is pretty slick. I didn't think we would get crap for our phones.

Was it a higher trade in value because you are starting new lines? I was quoted $415 for an Xr.
