I got this for my son in walmart clearance for $15. Just a heads up the box advertises "new 2019" on the front and it takes lots of D batteries

The colossal crash is fun. My kids love it and it folds up nicely to fit under a bed.

Mattel needs to update their toys and ditch D cells in favor of some kind of rechargable LION battery packs. Or even a wall wart. Keeping their prices lower by relying on parents to shell out some big bucks for d cells or a bunch on rechargable AAs plus adapters is disgusting.

I use the rechargeable double As in a D size adapter, seems to work well.

Canceled my order for Criss Cross Crash at $43 and got this instead. Bigger is better right? Also like that it folds up which should make it easier to store.

Canceled order since it takes 6 d batteries. Seems ridiculous in 2020.

I could get adapters for AAs but that is a ton of batteries. Pass but thanks

Criss cross crash is fun as well but basically the same thing. This one folds up which is nice. The only one we have tried that we didn't like was roto revolution

We have Criss Cross Crash which also takes a bunch of D batteries and I found it pretty trivial to source an appropriate wall wart and solder it in. No more need for expensive batteries!

I think my 3 year old is getting to the point where hot wheels may interest him. I just have a hard time with this stuff. It feels so expensive for its lack of variation and interaction. I'm concerned that all these electronic motorized tracks get boring as the toy seems like it does everything and you just watch.

I remember growing up I had a track with a manual lever to smack the car around a loop. I played with that thing for hours because it was all about mastering the timing and there was a sense of accomplishment when you got it to go around the track over and over. For people who have this stuff for there kids do they lose interest fast? Is the play time you get out of it worth the money spent?

Get the sto and go trackset along with the track build ultra boost kit. My 2 1/2 year old loves it and it'll run you < $100.

Kids have fun trying different cars and seeing which ones fastest and then racing and what not. Its not just sitting there watching a car go around.
