Always the people that need to justify their money spent in these listings.

I own a 65in LG OLED, and a 55in Samsung Q80R.... Both last year's top TVs for price and performance... And I still use the Hisense 65in I got last year for $240 and I have no issue with the 50in ONN I bought for $100 as well.

Budget 4K are pretty damn good from Septre, ONN and the like... People praise TCL and forget people talked trash about them as well... Same thing for Vizio.

Even more interesting is a lot of budget sets use 2nd tier Samsung VA panels that actually look better than the entry level LGs with poor contrast.
Be prepared to be disappointed when this sells out in 2 seconds
man... $228 for a full array led 4k 65" TV shipped free. Imagine seeing these deals 10 years ago, you'd hardly believe it.

I got mine set up and I am extremely happy with the picture quality. I had to turn on HDR BRIGHT which increases the contrast to 100. My unit has no dead pixels or any flickering/lines going down anywhere. My only question is, it always chooses HDR instead of 4K on Netflix and Disney+, is there a way to have 4K instead, would just like to see what it would turn out like.
Don't set contrast to 100 you will wash out detail, around 50 is correct. Netflix and Disney will automatically enable both 4k and HDR at the same time for you. It won't give you a pop-up to tell you when 4k is playing.

a review as an everyday TV watcher. I set it up the Onn. 65" TV yesterday and watched it for about 8hrs total.

the picture is fantastic, guess I got a good one. I have watched the demos on youtube with 4k and HDR, HDR+ and Dolby Vision, on NetFlix w/HDR. This set does not display Dolby Vision icon when content is selected/played. That said the picture is clear, bright and sharp. It is a big step up from my 4-9 year old tv's. IDK what the next level is above this but it is sure to be a point of diminishing return. The sound also blew me away. Out of the two seven watt speakers the sound circulated around me. The TV is in a 20' room with minimal obstructions. Watch the 'Dolby Atmos 4K HDR' demo on youtube for a sound check. Wow.
I am happy with this set, as is.

I did not like the audio from my set, but I wonder if it is because mine is wall mounted. Are you using the stands?

The volume was fine, but felt like it had a very narrow frequency range even for watching the news. It was distracting. I had low expectations for the audio, but it was worse than I expected.

Luckily I already had a soundbar and the TV remote controls it very well.

Success story here. Sent Dad to pickup my TV. Got there for curbside delivery. There was a delay then shortly after, the manager came out...

Hi! Are you here for the Onn TV? > Yes > (Manager) Unfortunately we don"t have any more available.

At this moment, I thought Manager would tell my dad that the order is cancelled due to un-fulfillment

Manager: We gave you an upgrade to a Samsung for the inconvenience (this model [bestbuy.com]). I'm assuming because im there and used the app to check-in, they fulfilled my order. Thoughts on this Samsung UN65TU7000FXZA vs the original Onn and TCL 4-Series FP from target?

Agree 100%
As someone else said, I could easily compare this TV's picture with a $1,000 TV. Perfect for everyday use.

My closest budget TV for comparison is a Vizo M7, and this looks better.
The Roku OS was put together smartly and is seamless...you can change your picture settings back and forth without effort.

Take the "bad set" comments with a grain of salt. 9/10 people whose set was fine aren't coming back to comment. Also keep in mind all the SDers jamming these in their Prius or Focus. These were made in Mexico and seem amazing quality for the price.

I picked mine up this evening. They were out of stock of the Onn 65", so they gave me the TCL 65" 4 series instead.

Anyone get one of these? How do you like it so far? I plan to test/calibrate it tomorrow and then decide to keep or return.

Which one did you get 65S4**?

Edit: nm, it doesn't even matter. Why would you take back a $230 65" TV? Surely there is a neighbor, friend or family member who would really benefit from that upgrade.

Vesa in description is incorrect. Picked it up, Box says Vesa: 300x200 mm. Might want to update it. Anybody got the weight of this unit? I've searched everywhere and nobody has it listed in spec sheets. Probably going to grab the mount deal tomorrow to be on the safe side though.

Agreed with the audio I had issues with mine, but the audio is what surprised me.

On the stands on a entertainment center in front of a wall mounted 55" 3-4 inches behind. 15' away from sofa.

The audio is the weakest point of the tv, not sure why others are having a different experience. If I play The Office on Netflix the default audio track sounds awful with limited range. If I change the audio track it sounds better. Maybe something is wrong with how it processes surround sound tracks. We have to use a sound bar due to it being so bad

Got the 70" onn model# 100012588 instead of the 65". Noticed that the TV has only single button and there is no picture settings for the inbuilt roku tv. It has settings for all the hdmi inputs but very bright for the inbuilt roku tv even with the darker setting on the roku menu options. If anyone found a way to adjust brightness and contrast for the inbuilt roku, pls share

You currently are using a 13 year old TV.

You got a $500+ TV for 1/2 price.

Unless the 13 year old TV is a 75" plasma, I think the answer is pretty clear.
I replaced a 60" Samsung and couldn't be happier.
I think I was pretty clear in acknowledging the same thing. I just didn't know if I'd be better off trying to snag another similar deal to accommodate my usage. On that note, I am pretty confident I'm keeping it.

I actually ordered both. The TCL is a solid tv and couldn't believe how good the sound quality was on the speaker. Almost no need for a soundbar!
Just waiting to install the Onn. Tv for comparison
Waiting to hear how your experience goes. I got in on a few of the 65", and one of the 75" and am trying to decide which order I want to open them starting with the 75" TCL, then which of the 65". If the 75" checks out I'll probably stop there and not bother opening the 65". Curious to hear how your comparison goes.

When you say Dolby, are you talking about Dolby vision or Dolby Audio? If you are talking about Dolby Vision I wouldnt worry much about it. The consensus is that with budget televisions there is little to no benefit gained from Dolby vision. The quality of the panel is the biggest factor in picture quality.

If you are talking audio Do you have a surround sound speaker setup? If not then you wouldn't benefit from Dolby surround sound anyway. If you do, check to see if it using Dolby or DTS.
No clue about the Dolby tbh. I remember seeing something on here and started questioning the order. I'll have to read some of the posts to figure that out. Thank you again for your response.
