Ser resolution and hdmi supported version. Dell is always behind the technology. Still they think hdmi 2.1 and qhd on 27" is premium thing!
Unless you are on an extreme budget, never order 27" FHD.

Agreed

Edit: sorry meant FHD, not QHD, brain fart.

Luke warm deal. Got this same monitor for $99 last week. Returning it cause I can't stand the mixed resolution between my monitors and the blue when scrolling makes me feel icky

edit: my mistake. I didn't realize this isnt the D2721H. so ignore my post

Are you sure you aren't referring to the D2721H?

Why would one prefer this over the less expensive D2721H?

(I happen to like QHD on 27". I'm not sure why I'd go for merely 1080p (FHD) on 27"...)

I would guess it is because of the type of monitor it is. The "D" series is considered low cost.

As with any type of display the opinion is all subjective but in most folks opinion 27" is too big for 1080p as the pixels per inch is not enough.

Having said that, until you own a 2560x1440p display at 27" , the 1080p IPS display might look amazing to you, and if you are happy with it this is not a bad deal in the sense that its Dell, IPS panel and cheap.

1440p deals occasionally hit $199 though, that would be really slick of course. $250+ is the going rate so if you can afford $250 I wouldn't get this.
