First off, he got the 9700k for $200, which is about the price of a 3600. The 9700k is better than the 3600. It's about 20% faster in single threaded performance, and 8 cores is better than 6/12 for most multicore tasks.
You're actually telling him to sell his CPU, which would involve taking his time and a loss in money, so that he could then turn around and spend that money on a worse CPU so that he gets that "price performance" ratio. Not only is that terrible advice, but he never farking asked.

I personally like the cooler master a bit better- but both will work nicely.
if you want to OC it hard, get some twin tower 6 heat tube stuff
