-Bezels are thin, unobtrusive. Plastic all around. Stand legs are just ever so slightly too long for my table but I made it work.
- Picture quality is better than I expected. When sitting on my bed, it looks great. When sitting at my desk (less than a foot away from TV), I notice some ghosting from the backlight around the edge of the TV; it's very slight only shows on darker/gray backgrounds and if you weren't looking for it you wouldn't notice it. I don't recommend it as a monitor. Text looks a bit too fuzzy up close.
- Remote is my least favorite thing. I tried to use my Caavo with it but it kicks out after installing the Caavo app. If you have a soundbar or audio system using optical, you'll have problems if you pair the bluetooth remote; volume controls are sent over IR and won't work which is bizarre when other Android TV remotes (Sling, Google, Tivo) all can use IR and Bluetooth at the same time.
- If you install a different launcher (I sideloaded the Google TV launcher and it looks amazing) and have to disable the stock launcher, your input button won't work as that's linked to the launcher. Workaround for now is using the Dashboard app to switch inputs.
-Hisense has disabled the ability (heh) to add new Accessibility apps; they just don't show up in the Accessibility menu. This caused problems with my favorite Android TV apps Button Mapper and Dashboard. For Button Mapper you can use the following ADB command to enable Accessibility
- Little to no bloatware. There is some ARC content that pops-up that sends data back that you can decline or disable altogether. Surprised the amount of restraint used by Hisense compared to other TV brands shoving ads in your face.
- It uses the Mstar T22 (Mediatek MSD6886 / ARM M7322) reference design with a build maintained by Google. It's an quad-core 1.4GHz processor. It has 8GB of storage; 4.3GB available for apps. 2GB of RAM. I received a firmware update immediately after connecting to the Internet. It runs Android 9, March security patch, July kernel build. Not amazing, not terrible. That's decent and I hope Hisense continues to push OEM updates.
- TV speakers are surprisingly good. While I use my sound bar anyway, you won't be disappointed with the volume output alone.
- Definitely mess with color settings, I used Rtings settings for the H6570G [rtings.com]. I tend to like my picture cooler rather than warmer, so adjust to your liking accordingly.
Overall 7/10. For the price I am blown away by what you get; a little disappointed with how Hisense messed with Android TV but hopefully they fix the Accessibility issue in an update down the line.
Also, settings seem to reverting to factory standards every time I go to adjust them. Anyone dealing with this issue?
July 15, 2020 on mine.
It's not perfect though, I probably wouldn't recommend using as a monitor as you'll notice imperfections up close. 5 ft away and it's fine though. My biggest complaint is probably how ugly the Android tv ui looks, but that's hardly an issue for me since this is mostly for the xbox and playstation. Thank you slickdeals for being on a roll for me the last month. Samsung s20 FE for almost free, $220 hot tub, and now an awesome tv for the price.

These Low end sets have been my go to and I upgrade every 2 years to the next size up for the same price. Sell old one for $100.
This one is a great deal.
Just setup the TV in my bedroom, gonna try it out tonight. The TV Legs barely fit on my desktop, I could have put the legs in the inner holes but the wide legs work. Has a headphone port on the back which is nice for late night listening.
When I first opened the box I thought the legs were missing after I took it out, they have them hidden well inside the box just inside the Styrofoam.
Thanks to whoever mentioned the trick with the remote, you have to bluetooth pair it apparently so you don't have to point the remote right at the TV to use it. Gonna do that right now and try this out.
Also, manufacturer date on the back of my TV is July 2020 so only 3 months out of the factory, what do you guys see on yours if anyone wants to share?
