Not for Prime only. I don't have a prime membership and it works for me. One person posted here that they bought a $1 Amazon gift card, paid for that, and then tried the link. For me this was like my 10th purchase using the app and at first I only got $5 but after I made sure all the products were Amazon, removed non-Amazon, and added enough to go over $25 to get free shipping, I ended up getting $15 off. I don't know what bumped it $5.

Bought a email giftcard then browsed around until I found an item shipped and sold by Amazon. Discount showed in cart before checkout of the second item. Good deal.

Not sure. I just bought a $25 e-gift card and applied it to my own account. That qualified me and I didn't have to spend extra.

Make sure to checkout both purchases through the app.
