Ryobi Marketing: New data is in! Consumers are having a difficult time deciding what tools they need in their fist set.

Ryobi: GIVE THEM EVERYTHING
If you need all the tools it's not bad. The nailgun and the saw are normally around $100 each. The batteries alone are $100+ for the three together. It's a good deal but you might be better served with buying as you go and getting the tools you actually end up needing rather than just a huge bundle.
You can build a whole house with a circular saw and a hammer so all these tools would be a bonus.

This is a really good deal...you will eventually need all the tools. For a diy woodworker, a router would be more useful than impact wrench or grinder.

I'd probably go with the $200 starter pack that comes with a drill, impact, recip, circular and multi. And then hold out for the free tool with $99 two battery starter. That way you'd have more batteries, chargers and can pick the tools you actually need.

What exactly is the point of a cordless 7" miter saw? It seems like you might as well just use a circular saw or cut by hand with a miter box.

$600 is a lot of $. With that you could get a number of top tier tools and add as you need. I'd consider a solid deal on a multi piece Dewalt XR kit or even Rigid brushless with a 7 1/2 circular saw and adding more tools as you need them. Ryobi is decent quality but they are not workhorses. Heavy jobs will bog them down or just stop the motor.
Personally I have Milwaukee but deals aren't common on them in the way Dewalt has them. Also check out Makita. They have some really nice tools. Thileir drill and driver are really quality items. Same with the XR ones.

These bundles are weird. Who is in the market for every tool at once?
Me, I bought the Ryobi 199.99 2 weeks ago than return it for the dewalt 299.00 5 piece combo. Now thinking if I should return that and get this instead. It'll be my first power tool set. So still debating what to do.

After getting the 9 tool combo for $150 this doesn't seem very slick at all to me.

It was like 4 months ago, they were $249 and later went on clearance for $150. So even at the regular price it was a much better deal than this one.

I have every tool in this set minus the angle grinder, the miter saw is the only thing I would consider "meh" I'd get a better one if you were going to use it often it struggles cutting a 2x4 clean every time the rest seem to work great. The flashlight is kind of pointless but works fine.

In the last week alone I have used the drill / impact driver / brad nailer / miter saw to build a pullup / gymnastics bar system in the yard. Then used the multi-tool with a drywall jab saw to add a outlet in a closet.

I am a weekend warrior but one of my multi weekend projects was building a house ( well an addition ) with ryobi tools. They did fine.

If I had it all over to do again i'd get the ryobi set as well or potentially Rigid, reason being there are some smoking deals from DirectTool occasionally posted on here, and luckily I have one of their stores locally and can get refurb/blemished tools for a great value. I am eyeballing that 1 gallon air compressor it's $70 if it dropped to 50 I am grabbing one for a use case for blowing out water pipes for winterizing.

I'd recommend slowly building up a set rather than one of these grab bags full of the lowest end version of everything. Most Ryobi tools have at least two versions. The higher-end version has the brushless motors. Brushless motors and bigger battery packs make a huge difference in these tools. The big batteries are usually half-price around any holiday. And the individual better version of the tools go on sale at the same time as these kits i.e. now.

These are non bruhless tools. I got the brushless individual versions of these tools for the same price per tool. This includes a cheap flashlight
Product description and q/a section suggests that these are brushless tools.
