Verizon had their 200/200 for 39.99
and it seems you maybe able to upgrade to the 300/300 plan for the same price without a contract for free.
Im guessing this isn't available in all areas. It doesn't hurt to check your account to see if you can upgrade you internet plan.
it seems you can cancel your plan and sign up for a new one and get 100 dollar gift card and an amazon dot.
edit: it is region specific. so far it seems the NY/NJ area works fine.

I just logged into my account and used the chat function. Told the agent I wanted the $39.99 300 Mbps plan. Agent did it for me in 5 mins over the chat. Great!
Granted my 200/200 service was already speed testing around 300/300 speeds since the summer already so I'm not sure it'll do very much.

I already have my entertainment/internet budget down to 35$ Fios + 62$ for tmobile/netflix. Was thinking I couldn't cut much more out but 5$ more would be great!
Its all a gimmic anyway. Your average household, even with 10 devices streaming HD wouldn't even need 200 down.
Tis the american way tho, get marketed crap you don't need, and people will pay a hundo for a gig. dummies.
Will my router still work?
The 200/200 mbps speeds are actually provisioned at 300/300 mbps, but advertised as 200/200
So regardless of if you change or not, you will be receiving the same speeds -- they are just making it a little more accurate to the public now
They can be very tricky!
