Verizon had their 200/200 for 39.99
and it seems you maybe able to upgrade to the 300/300 plan for the same price without a contract for free.

Im guessing this isn't available in all areas. It doesn't hurt to check your account to see if you can upgrade you internet plan.
it seems you can cancel your plan and sign up for a new one and get 100 dollar gift card and an amazon dot.

edit: it is region specific. so far it seems the NY/NJ area works fine.

My plan is up next month. Is it possible to cancel and start a new plan under the same name, or use my roommate's name?
need to change credit cards as well, at least this is my experience from the last two Decembers

confirm works in NYC, was a bit hard to find, and I didn't see the 300/300 plan right away but try looking at account main page after loggin-in. for 'Mix and Match on Fios' finally, Internet and TV your way.

I was 200/200 and my promo had run out, I was at $54.99. The "store" change my plan did not offer this. (Westchester, NY)

I just logged into my account and used the chat function. Told the agent I wanted the $39.99 300 Mbps plan. Agent did it for me in 5 mins over the chat. Great!

Trying checkout 300mbps and keep showing $59.99?
Hey. I figure the issue. It basically means you use fios prior and the 39.99 deal is for first time customer only. I think if u call they can prob adjust it.

Good find. I upgraded my 200/200 service to 300/300 for the same price. In Queens, NY.

Granted my 200/200 service was already speed testing around 300/300 speeds since the summer already so I'm not sure it'll do very much.

Actually, $10 discount for nurses if you choose 300/300.:
Fios Home Internet: 300 Mbps $49.99
Auto-Pay Discount -$10.00
Nurses Discount -$10.00
Estimated Monthly Subtotal $29.99
Was there a different link other than this one?

I already have my entertainment/internet budget down to 35$ Fios + 62$ for tmobile/netflix. Was thinking I couldn't cut much more out but 5$ more would be great!

My 39.99 200/200 deal expired and now its like 55 after a year at 39.99. they gave me 300/300 since the start though, but would like to get the deal price again. Is there a way to do that for an existing customer? Thanks
just signed up for the 200/200, wired I get over 300/300.

Its all a gimmic anyway. Your average household, even with 10 devices streaming HD wouldn't even need 200 down.

Tis the american way tho, get marketed crap you don't need, and people will pay a hundo for a gig. dummies.

Fios practically forced me to get gigabit service in NYC when we resubscribed. It was a $5/monthly upgrade at the time from 250/250. I didn't need it but I wasn't about to pass it up for an extra $5.

For just internet, yes. If you have FIOS TV and want to use their set top box, it requires a little knowhow and you still do ultimately need to use their router (albeit possibly behind your own) if you want on-demand and the channel guide to work.
No i don't need the TV but i do need the phone land line.
Will my router still work?

Just wanted to add my two cents -- I've done a lot of research on Fios internet and wanted everyone to be aware of the following:
The 200/200 mbps speeds are actually provisioned at 300/300 mbps, but advertised as 200/200
So regardless of if you change or not, you will be receiving the same speeds -- they are just making it a little more accurate to the public now
They can be very tricky!
Correct. I had a very very helpful and knowledgeable CS Rep on the phone when I first switched form Comcast to Fios back this march/april. And he told me exactly, exactly, this.

Does a technician really come out to upgrade your Fios speed? I currently have the 100/100 and want to upgrade for free.

I signed up in May of this year and brought my own router, got the 200/200 plan for $40. Tested first day and it's always been 300/300 since day 1. Verizon did good for once.
