I have the 7.5 holiday living tree which I bought last year. It is beautiful for sure, and easy to set up, but when I got it out this year, about 35 lights didn't turn on immediately. Then those 35 started flickering on and off for a couple of days before it seems like they are fairly solidly on now. Obviously I'm worried this tree will not last another year.

Get the GE one over the Holiday Living tree. It has twice as much tips (important for artificial trees). The only thing is the storage. That's the only draw back.
One is a Spruce, the other a Fir. Those trees in real life have different numbers of branches.
I feel like you can get a Nest/Alexa/Home with anything as a package deal. I'm surprised it didn't come with the shirt that had nipple holes posted earlier.
We got the GE for $158 and finally got around to putting it up this week. Not bad for $160ish, but not a very high quality tree. It will take a considerable amount of fluffing to get this ready (like a lot of things I know) ... Can still see through it even after spending about an hour on it.

I'm having the same experience. I fluffed this damn thing pretty damn good. I fluffed more than I've ever fluffed before. A little more sparse than I was hoping. Still, not terribly bad and well-placed garland and ornaments would help.
In fact I bought it after I had already bought a $79 tree from home depot that was a SD a couple of weeks ago. That one had 1600 less tips yet I put them next to each other after both being thoroughly fluffed and the HD one actually may be a little bit fuller.
Now the good thing about this tree is the outer tips have realistic needles and looks nice. It's slim without being too slim and the 750 lights on it look great and that number of lights is higher end for this price range. Has an outlet in the tree for a tree topper but it's not a polarized plug so a topper with a plug that has the one prong bigger than the other won't connect to this outlet.
I decided to buy one more tree that was on sale and will compare that to the two I have, then I'll keep two and return one.
Bought the GE on Saturday. Put it up only to find out it had a short. Kind of glad as I wasn't thrilled with it at all. Branches "sharp", sparse as can be (you can literally see right through it), lights too bright and just looked weird. Returned it for the Holiday Living 7.5' from Home Depot. So much nicer. Wife even agreed.
Got this exact tree on Black Friday 2020, it's sitting in the living room right now. Looks great, easily transportable and carryable by 1 person. We are very happy with it.
Wish I could somehow get the Google Nest addon. Anyone know if I could somehow take my receipt in and get the free Nest?

Which tree did you like best... The HD? What link? Thx
If you want a decently full tree (have a spreadsheet on a lot of offerings) I would shoot for the following:
At 6' look for a minimum of 1200 but try to get to 1500 tips if budget allows.
At 7.5' look for a minimum of 1900 but get to 2200 if you want it looking pretty realistic.
As an FYI - Balsam Hills most realistic trees (who makes the best trees) typically have 2000 or more tips For their 6' and 3500 or more for their 7.5. Those are VERY FULL trees (but cost $500+ easily)
I don't care about the google nest mini. Just looking for a good deal on a really high quality pre lit tree, in the $200-$300 range. Haven't seen anything like that on slickdeals unfortunately.
I've attached three pics of the two trees, fully fluffed, side-by-side. This is why, like most specs on things, the "tip count" may not be a one to one comparison from brand to brand. Look at the first pic and tell me which tree is the one with 2700 tips and which one has only 1100 tips.
HD tree looks slightly fuller, the wires for the lights are imperceptible, it's a little bit wider through the base, and on sale, was half the price.
The Lowes tree looks more realistic, reflects the lights better, has a tree topper plug, and has more lights overall which really stands out when they are multi-colored
Which one I like better? Tough one, and it really shouldn't be with one tree costing double the other but the Lowes would win out for me. In the end I'm waiting on the third, most expensive tree I bought, to come and then decide which of the three I'll keep.

Bought it and set it up, the different modes are nice. Definitely not a "full" type of tree, but once you add some decorations, it's not bad at all for a pre-lit 7.5' tree for $75.
What "modes" are you referring to? I only see one button (lights on/off).

Yes you can. I did it today at my Lowes store.

Just got this one to compare to the two I have from the post above. I'll report back when it arrives in the next couple days.
