These are non-4k and do not come with a remote. The new Google chromecast TV is best option at $50

Depends. This can only do 1080p and doesn't have a remote with user interface. You'd need another device (i.e. smartphone or computer) to control your media. I would not get this personally because the 4K Firestick and 4K capable Roku stick are roughly only $10 more and offer better performance. The main benefit of this vs those two options is the option to stream videos from a Chrome browser to your TV, which is nice for when you're streaming something online on your computer but want to watch it on your TV without having to deal with cables. If that's something you really want then this is a cool device for that, but if you're patient, I'd suggest waiting to see if the Chromecast with Google TV goes on sale. It can stream 4K and comes with a remote and Android OS, so you can download a lot of different apps.

These new Chromecast with Google TV have my favorite GUI interface. I still prefer Roku for finding the best price to watch free / rent / purchase from though.

Don't have the link any more, but I read that upgrade from 2 to 3 probably wasn't worth it, but for the original Chromecast there was improved speed and reliability.
