This doesn't appear to be the same as the amazon link as it doesn't include the magnetic tail cap nor the battery. If you look in the "what's included" section you'll notice that it doesn't include these items along with it uses a Nichia 219c Neutral LED vs the CREE XPL-HD Cool White which is brighter but produces a much cooler/greener beam pattern.

With that said, I appreciate the link as I just placed an order for the Nichia LED vs the CREE one in the amazon link as I prefer a more neutral warm light beam vs the ugly cooler blue/green light output of the CREE. Luckily, I was able to cancel my Amazon order and didn't get stuck with that horrible 6500K light output from the XPL-HD. As someone who used to work in photography, I prefer the colors on the objects that I'm illuminating to be more natural looking than what the CREE would produce.

For anybody that's unsure, see this Reddit post comparing the two LEDs.

As someone who works in photography... that 'ugly' 6500k is daylight balanced making objects look more as they would in natural sunlight, right? Maybe you were a hot light person and never used those ugly 6500k strobe things. Lol.

If you havent used a warmer tinted LED flashlight yet, you really should try it out. These are good lights, and the Nichia 219C is a pretty good warm LED. Having a nice warm tint vs the greenish cool tints you usually get makes a much bigger difference than you might think.

If you were shooting on a cloudy day then sure 6500K would be about the right temperature for outside but if it's a sunny day then the daylight temperature would be closer to 5,500K which is closer to the Nichia LED color temperature.

Also, I prefer a color temp that's closer to pure white or even leaning slightly to the warmer tone so somewhere around 4,500K-5,000K as opposed to a much more bluer 6,500K temp. To add to this, the CREE LED not only is bluer but also has a green tint with it. From the screenshots that I've seen, I much prefer the color temp of the Nichia which is more neutral with a slight hint of red tint.

As with anything, you like what you like and I like what I like. There is no right or wrong as long as we're happy with our purchase! Smilie

Thanks, I have an Olight S35 Baton Holiday set with neutral LEDs. The S35 is a fair bit warmer than the TC15 SS from that set which has a more pure white color temp and I think that this light will be closer to the S35 color temp. I'm basically looking for something a bit more powerful than the TC15 but not quite as heavy. I work on my own cars a fair bit so I often put the TC15 in my mouth to free up my hands and shine the light on what I'm working on but my mouth can get quite tired after a bit due to the weight of the stainless steel. I'm hoping that this light will be a good replacement to the TC15 as it's about half the weight and significantly more brighter. I was looking for something with a more neutral tint and hope that this fits the bill. The only slight concern that I have is regarding the run times but I'll see how that works out. I will say this though, the stainless steel of the TC15 sure can take a beating! LOL

How does it compare to Convoy S2+ 4000k 8x7135?
Does anyone have both?

I don't have the Convoy but this light uses an AA/14500 battery vs the 18650 battery in the Convoy so they're really not comparable. They'll also have different dimensions and weight so it really depends on what you're looking for in a light.

Sorry for late reply. I have a different Convoy S2, along with this flashlight. They're really different applications. This one is a step up from a keychain light. It's tiny, the size of my smallest finger. Brightness and runtime are good but compromised to get the size down.

A 14500 battery fits into typical 18650 chargers. Interchangeable tail caps are useful, and with the diffuser on its great for everyday use without scratching pocket contents.
